This is our home, full of art and crafts, overlooking the water in Noss Mayo with a private terraced garden. If you are looking for a homely place with an Aga for cooking, a pub round the corner for when you don't want to cook and fabulous views of the village and the estuary then read on. We have been letting our River Room for a couple of years now. If you need more space you could book that too. Mind you number 1 sleeps 6 in comfort, why not spread out and enjoy the view.
Sailing in, ours is the 1st house in the village. So we sit next to the woods through which you can walk down to the "Pool" with the deep water moorings and on to the sea. Walk into the village and you will find the Ship Inn. And the Swan Inn. And the Church. Opposite is Newton Ferrers with another pub, the Dolphin, another Church, the Post Office, the Chemists, the butchers and the Co-op. Plymouth, about 10 miles away..
Bring a canoe and you can launch it off our quay. Or Just launch yourself and have a swim at high tide. Enjoy the house and the upper garden. The River Room gets use of our lower garden.
Interaction with guests
As this is our home, if you are here it means we are not! If we can we will meet you and show you the ropes. If not, our friends round the corner will be on hand to help you out.
We would appreciate guests taking shoes off in house. We have said the house is not suited to children for a number of reasons. It is full of rather nice fabrics. It has quite a few (URL HIDDEN) fronts the road. The garden is a raised terrace. That said do talk to us if you want to come and have some rather more mature children!
Dogs are not allowed upstairs in bedroom, or on any of soft furnishings, we have a smart velvet sofa which is very precious ! thank you.We make an additional charge of £40 for cleaning and extra wear and tear for each dog.

We live in sunny Devon, Andy and I. I came back here to the village I lived in as a child some 12 years ago now. ... to a lovely home overlooking the water. We built this garden room in our lower garden to enjoy the best views down the estuary. In our upper garden we run a Tea Garden on sunny summer weekends. Otherwise we are both busy being creative or walking the dog, Millie. Running the Tea Garden has shown us how much fun it is to share our good fortune in living in such a lovely place. Now you can share it too....
