Jerome was away on a trip during our stay so we didn't get to meet him. Mr. Daldal and his family took care of us and they were some of the best hosts we've had. First of all, their resort is about an hour away from the town proper in El Nido. The town proper is where buses/vans drop you off, and this is where your island tours start. To get to Daldal Bay View, you either pay for an expensive van ride (they quoted us 2500) or a tricycle ride (they quoted us 750 each). Luckily, Mr. Daldal works at the elementary school in the town so he gave us rides to and from their resort in his private car for only 150 pesos each.
The location of their resort is worth the trip. In El Nido, the resorts are crowded and you don't get a beachfront where you can relax/swim in. In Daldal Bay View, you have sand bar nestled in between thin stretches of land. The moment we got there, we literally ran to the beach front. It was that beautiful. The place was very quiet, just a handful of guests (it was low peak season) and the roar of the waves to lull you. At that time (July) the waves were too strong for swimming, but nearby is Nacpan beach which is a 5-10 minute walk away, and it is one of the best beaches we have ever seen. The sand bar was really wide, the sand white and powdery, and the place clean in general. There aren't too many resorts on the Nacpan beachfront itself, but there is a resto bar you can hang out in, eat and drink until nighttime.
Let me go back to Mr. Daldal and his family. They were very hospitable and kind. They always found way to accommodate our requests/questions. The food they serve is delicious. Their resort and the room itself is very clean. No rodents/rats/roaches. We felt very safe and secure as well.
