3 bridge views of the bay, 10 min walk to the "gourmet ghetto," quiet street. I'm just setting this listing site up, so better photos and info coming soon.
The bedroom for this listing is the master suite with its own private restroom with a bath tub, and its own views of the bay. There is a little porch you can go in and out of from the bedroom.
The house was built in 1962, and to be upfront, there are a number of little things that need repair, like the sliding glass doors can be cranky, for example. These things won't be a big deal to most people but just so you know what you're getting into.
You feel like you're outside when you're in, there's so many views in this house. And it's amazing how private it is despite this.
You'll have access to you're private bedroom and bathroom, the living room, studio, dining room, kitchen, and the other bathroom. Everything but my bedroom basically. There's a back yard you could hang out in, too, and two different porch / balcony situations.
Interaction with guests
I'm happy to socialize with guests if the mood strikes us, too. I can probably help you figure out how to enjoy you're time here. I've lived in the east bay (mostly Oakland), for the last 20 years.
No smoking indoors.
No shoes in the house.

My son will be renting out my bedroom for the next few months, and sometimes the whole house for shorter periods. He's a 47-year old undergraduate biology student at UC Berkeley. Since you'll be dealing directly with him here, I'll let him speak for himself.
Hi, my name is Lee. I hike, botanize, sing in choruses and sometimes play clarinet in a street band. I enjoy friendly conviviality with guests when it feels natural, or being to ourselves as the mood comes. I can probably help you figure out how to have a good time here. I've lived in the bay area for most of the last 20 years.
