Shaun's place sits on her picturesque property in a quiet neighborhood located about 15-20 minutes from downtown Portland. It really provided a nice hideaway for my family (my mother, my wife, and myself) while on vacation, all while also being close to local grocery stores, and restaurants. However, I should also mention that the guest house rests at the bottom of a slope that could possibly be difficult to walk to and from for people with physical challenges The house was clean, and cozy. The two bedrooms( one upstairs, and one in the basement) made the space feel even larger. The deck was also spacious, while providing a good space to sit out, and enjoy the fresh air, or drink/ eat. She had many amenities including Cable TV, and a washer & dryer. The kitchen had most of what you need for cooking except for a toaster or toaster oven. Shaun was friendly and easy going. She was very helpful, and courteous when answering any questions or concerns we had during our stay. Her dog was also friendly, and occasionally came around to say hello from time to time. All in all, if you're looking for a nice & private home to stay at in Portland, I would certainly recommend Shaun's guest house.

Shaun was a great host! The cottage and neighborhood were beautiful. Easy to get around to downtown and Lake Oswego.

Shaun's lovely and comfortable place was situated in a most beautiful garden setting. The master bedroom looks out on trees and greenery and the sun pours in across the room in the morning. Shaun made us feel very welcomed and that she was available for anything we might need. Princeton, her yellow lab, was also a welcoming presence as he would come racing down to the house, paws up on the screen door. Thank you Shaun!

We chose this place mainly for location because we wanted to be close to the L&C campus and that worked out great. Shaun was helpful and accommodating as a host. When we had questions or concerns she responded right away. The setting was lovely, the cottage was spacious and light with huge windows in the living room and a beautiful view. We also really liked the well appointed kitchen and made use of it. In warm weather (which it was) with windows open you can hear a fair amount of road noise but we were able to close them before going to sleep so it was fine.

We had a very nice stay. Shaun was extremely hospitable and easy to contact. The cottage was neat and clean and the setting was quite lovely. There are steps and a sloped path to the cottage that were a little tricky to navigate with large suitcases, but not enough to be a problem. Close to Portland, Mt. Hood and wineries to make it a great location, but still felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle.

This place is a gem. If this place is available don't hesitate for one second. In a quiet neighborhood tucked behind huge trees and beautiful landscape, you'll find a gorgeous guest house. It was so easy to settle in to the serene setting. Shaun was very helpful but never overbearing- She always made sure we knew she was there if we needed her. The house was clean, roomy, private, and perfect a perfect place for us to rest our heads or sit on the back porch after long days exploring Portland.
