Thank you Heather for your fair review. Yes bikes are a real hassle to include, we almost regret including them as they require regular up keep as the climate especially in the rainy season can be almost possible to stay ontop of. The ant problem you sent a video of was taken care of immediately with a cleaning lady that fumigated and went and did a full clean up. Unfortunately we discovered that your daughter had left a half eaten granola bar in her backpack which was near the bed, so once we discovered the source of food, we successfully avoided the problem from happening again! Teenagers are not always mindful of how open food in the tropics can quickly cal on an army of ants! LOL..
I have spoken to the cleaning lady to not use the pillow cases that were stained, but we don't mind bleach stains if they are minimal.
Unfortunately your trip did not go as you planned as there was a major seaweed invasion in Tulum over the time you stayed and although my place is not on the beach, and there was a travel advisory warning people of the seaweed problem, you insisted that I give you a refund. I refunded 1/3 of your nights that you left Tulum heading for Holbox where there was no seaweed. I think after the first day on the beach, after the rain and seaweed, Tulum left a bad taste in your mouth so you were unable to see past that and as life is everything becomes a frustrating problem. I hope you were able to find peace of mind in Holbox with your friend and daughter!
