Fun experience, staying in the roundhouse. Wish the weather had been a bit better so I could enjoy the porch and firepit but all in all a good stay.

Had a great stay in the roundhouse - was a great few days (even if the weather didn't comply). Interesting place with lovely views!

What can I say other than do not hesitate to book this place! We are not campers so I was a little hesitant in booking however I am so glad we did! The round house was perfect, spacious, clean, comfortable, well equipped and cosy as well as super cute, it felt like we were transported back in time. The Slate outdoor seating circle and fire pit were ideal for cooking and chilling out. Davyyd was a great host, giving us plenty of information on places to visit locally, I have visited a fair few beaches but these were amongst the best.. absolutely stunning! The location is ideal for exploring the area. We saw a beautiful sunrise and saw the stars at their best. We attend the story evening which was great, so chilled out yet exciting. The volunteers at the centre were lovely. If you want a little piece of peace, beauty and tranquility then this place is for you, we will absolutely be returning.. thanks again guys we all loved our stay.. Emily and family xx

What a fantastic place Felin Uchaf is! We are a family of five - mum, dad and 3 boys (13, 10, 7) - and we have had such a memorable time: toasting marshmallows and crumpets on the wonderful slate fire pit; telling stories by candlelight in the bunkhouse, the children acting out to make their shadows fill the room; exploring nature trails; watching the toads ambling the path with my littlest on the way back from one late night toilet run (an adventure in itself); and of course some first rate story telling in the storytelling roundhouse from our host Dafydd (if there is storytelling on while you are there - GO TO IT!) - a more welcoming and knowledgeable host you will not find. He advised us to climb a mountain and visit the City of Giants. My boys raced up like mountain hares, whilst me and my wife took a more leisurely pace, taking in the most stunning scenery I have ever seen. We descended in mist - wraithlike. We were at Felin Uchaf for three nights, but it feels like I have a weeks worth of memories. There must be magic woven into that roundhouse.

An excellent stay in a fantastic part of Wales on the Llyn Peninsula. This is a rare find for lovers of the remote, camping experience. If you fancy a digital detox, with story telling, Eco-developments and an ultra helpful and knowledgeable host - this is the holiday for you, family or friends... Clear your head and leave the Rat Race behind,. Thanks again - we will return.

We heard an owl and saw meteors and the milky way! Basic but beautiful with exactly the kitchen items and crockery you need thoughtfully provided. Reached by a winding little woodland path (though bring a torch for those trips to the loo.) All four of us (two adults, children 11 and 14) slept really well and it made a lovely base for climbing Garn Fadryn, catching Storytelling (Thurs/ Sunday nights) and popping to the lovely Aberdaron beach. We had a camp fire one night and felt free to sing and play loudly without disturbing anyone.

Felin Uchaf is a great place to stay if you're looking to get away from the crowds and for a different camping experience. It is a great eco centre with a large storytelling roundhouse, an observatory, a wood workshop and a visitors centre. All the buildings are hand made from natural materials. The door to our roundhouse had wooden hinges and this attention to detail in the construction of the buildings is astonishing. The large roundhouse venue in itself is worth a visit. We saw the Rheineghan Sisters here and they were brilliant. The community gardens are stunning with loads of veg and fruit growing. The large roundhouse we stayed in had good facilities and an open fire, where I did most of our cooking. The Llyn is so beautiful and has a charm and atmosphere of it's own. You will be spoilt for choice in regards to beaches and walks. Come prepared as there are no immediate shops and enjoy the open fire and the hospitality. Dafydd was a great host and I can't wait to come back.
