This was a gorgeous desert get-away for an anniversary weekend! Nice and cool, and unbeatable views: even woke up to a coyote chasing a rabbit. The roads were a bit challenging in our Mazda 3, but nothing that can't be managed by going slowly and cautiously. We loved being so close to the park and having plenty of space to cook and relax. We hope to come back and stay again here: highly recommend!

Kids 9 and 10 loved it. Jack rabbits in the morning with the sun rise. Stars at night with group yip-howl of coyotes. Get to the park early like 7am 8am before the heat. Kids also liked the car ride up Audi A6 like a roller coaster.

My husband and I enjoyed the view's from Jeffrey's place. The home is conveniently located between the city of Joshua Tree and the National Park. The area was quiet and we did not run into any neighbors. That being said the photos do not accurately depict the level of privacy we experienced. There are a few homes scattered around the landscape. Due to our personal privacy preference we did not take advantage of the outdoor tub. I did however enjoy the indoor bathtub. Toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were not provided so we had to make a run into town to purchase these items. Just an FYI we were glad we brought our truck for this trip. The road leading up to the house was tougher than expected. Our experience may have been outside of the norm as California had heavy rains this year. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

I work in the film business as a cinematographer and live in the San Francisco area with my fabulous wife and two equally fabulous daughters - they are their mother's daughters! (Did I mention how whip-smart, talented, amazing, funny, fierce and modest my fabulous wife is?)

Me? I like to blow bubbles in the bathtub and I'm a cat guy. A hugger too.
