If a rustic retreat from the hectic life is what you want this cabin, nestled on the side Mt. Hood, will not disappoint. With a cathedral ceiling, flooded with natural light and exposed beams, this cabin is both charming and rugged at the same time. The decor is an eclectic mix of oddities and antiquity that celebrate the mountaineering legacy of Mt. Hood. We have Moose on the plates, animal heads on the wall and all the wildlife, real and stuffed, you could ask for!

Other things to note

Here's the nitty gritty - this is location to unplug! There is no wifi, satellite tv or cell reception! Bring games, books, puzzles, a love of the outdoors and your imagination!

You can, if you have a good carrier, get cell reception a short two minute walk around the bend in the road in front of The Cooper Spur Inn. Standing in their parking lot should give you more than enough bars to check your email, listen to voice mail and make phone calls.

Loved having a little weekend away; away from city chaos and away from constant cell phone use! Was an amazing value, the house is gorgeous with lots of nature trails around it. Would absolutely recommend and planning on returning soon!

Sara's cabin is truly an escape from everything! It is conveniently located about 30 minutes from Hood River and has several outdoor activities nearby. It was very spacious for our group. We loved sitting in the living room and kitchen space catching up together. It has all that you need to enjoy your time. Be sure to grab groceries before you arrive (condiments, too!) as there isn't a grocery store near enough to the property.

The cabin was a great launching off point for exploring the mount hood area. Thanks!

Great potential if they provide a safe entry and better directions. A working TV and wifi would be nice.

This is a great cabin in a perfect location adjacent to the Cooper Spur Inn. It is a quiet mountain retreat with no wifi, cell service, or T.V. A perfect way to disconnect from the rat race, but close enough to reconnect if necessary. The cabin sits on five acres of forest and is close to short or long hikes, streams, and lakes. However, if you go in summer, bring camping chairs, as there is no outdoor seating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Sara's house is in one of the most gorgeous, quiet little pockets on Mt Hood. Within a few hundred yards of her driveway you have access to trails and a restaurant at the ski lodge, but it feels totally private at the house, with a cute little spring traversing the property. Head down just 5 mins down to the 35 and a couple mins south, you'll reach some epic river swimming spots. From here you have even more access to great trails for all skill levels. Loved it!
