Why stay in a boring, plain hotel, when you can sleep with Marilyn Monroe? Experience tranquil Eastern Shore of MD's sparkling waters, colonial heritage, wineries, Captain Smith & Chincoteague Islands, and fresh seafood. 10 min from Salisbury University, 30 min from the majestic Atlantic Ocean & barrier islands of wild horses, & zesty boardwalk and night life of Ocean City. Indulge your senses in the beauty of the arts in our home; a masterpiece of art decor, poetry, & music, to sooth the soul

The space
Besides being 30 minutes from Ocean City MD with the famous Springfest and Summerfest events with 200 art and craft booths and non stop live music, rides, food and drink for 4 days each May and September, and being 7 minutes from Salisbury University for student orientation, Senior High Site visits, and sporting events, we are located only 40 minutes from the internationally famous PONY SWIM on CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND, home of the best selling children's book, MISTY OF CHINCOTEAGUE, a true story with the main character Maureen Bebe still living on the little island, and the horse Misty, stuffed in an island museum. The famous Pony Swim is the last Wednesday in July and hotels are booked a year in advance, so come stay with me, as I used to live on the island and was a tour guide for the Pony Swim day and can give you all the inside details to make your visit the most enjoyable! This area is widely known for sporting events such as triathlons, biking clubs and Seagull Century bike-a-thon, running marathons, national basketball, baseball and soccer tournaments, wrestling, Shorebirds Stadium of minor league baseball, and more. The Wicomico Civic Center hosts weekly national entertainment and events, in October Salisbury is home to the state Wine Festival in October and Beer Festival of craft beers, and Pork in the Park barbeque festival in April. Historic sites abound with nearby Furnace Town and the Celtic Festival, Harriet Tubman museum, Poplar Hill Mansion, Pemberton Park Mansion, Captain John Smith Island in the Chesapeake Bay, and Tangier Island with boating excursions. Kayaking in the Chesapeake Bay, the Pocomoke and Salisbury rivers, and the Atlantic Ocean, and a campfire on the pristine, UN commercialized Assateague Island beach or enjoying nature and wild horses on the beach, all only 20 minutes from my home, is a pleasure to take your breath away! In our area is great antique shopping, terrific flea markets, and novelty experiences. Salisbury is only 2 hours from Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and only 3 hours from Wilmington DE and Norfolk VA, and only 5 hours from New York City - enjoy the pleasures of the big cities, while relaxing in the serene home of the arts!

I live in a beautiful, quiet, tranquil neighborhood, off the beaten path and what feels like is forgotten by the world. This is the perfect place to take a walk or bike ride, sit and gaze into the woods, reflect on life, photograph nature or write that poem that has nagged at your spirit for years! People drive by our community entrance for years without ever realizing what lays down the road, thereby constantly forgetting we exist, which all of us who live in this serene cluster, absolutely love and do not feel the slightest offended by the world forgetting our homes are nestled among the woods.

Paint a rainbow over your life, with me. A vivacious, humorous, artistic, optimistic, friendly, woman am I. I look for "the statue inside the stone", ALWAYS expect a miracle, and as Mother Theresa said, “love, until it hurts” As an artist of several talents, one of which is that I am a published author in the midst of writing three books; a childrens' book, a romance novel, and a story of poetry and life, I welcome you into my home of the arts!. I sing professionally, have held leading roles in theater, play the flute, write original plays and music, recite poetry to song, perform public speaking presentations and am employed in, and live in, "the Arts" . . . in all of their glory! If you like, perhaps I will recite a chapter from one of my books of your choice to you on the patio with a cup of coffee, or share an evening poem, song or flute performance with you over a glass of wine! With my arts career, I can direct you to the best of the arts in the area and would love to discuss the review with you at breakfast! My happy place is writing or reading on the beach, fine dining, good wine, family and friends, meeting new people and sharing life experiences, reading aloud, playing cards, (especially poker), board games, flea markets and festivals, travel, movies and popcorn at home, going to theater, out on the town evenings, riding bikes, and all the simple pleasures of life; those, that change our lives. When staying with me, you will receive the gift of hospitality, delivered with a jovial spirit and a compassionate and artistic heart. You will experience joy, hope, rest, comfort, and find a hiding place for your fears; you will leave my home different, in the best way, than when you arrived. WELCOME, TO ARTS . . . SIMPLY BLESSED!
