1880 house with contemporary design that offers a panoramic view under the shade of hackberry. Ideal base for sports activities (hiking, biking), visit Provence (Luberon, Alpilles) or discover the local products in markets around!

The space

The house consists of an old building from 1880 with thick walls that ensure a constant temperature in winter and summer. The kitchen is friendly and well equipped. A large living room overlooks the sitting room in which the fireplace provides warmth and visual comfort in winter.
Upstairs the boy's room has a single bed (80*190) and it is possible to add 2 mattresses on the ground (90*190). Our daughter's room has a single bed (90 * 190) under which there is a second (90*190). After the bathroom, the office serves as 4th bedroom, it is equipped with a sofa bed (140*190).
A recent monobrique extension contiguous to the old building consists in an atypical room on the ground floor of which the rock is the back wall. It is possible to put an extra bed there. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a queen size bed (160*190) and a bathroom. Both the office and the monobrique extension do not have devices to completely obscure daylight. We ask our guests to be kind enough to feed our cats and, in summer, kindly water the few plants in the garden.

We had a wondrous stay in this lovely house. There were 4 adults and 5 children and we found there was enough space. We very much enjoyed eating all our meals in the beautiful garden. The kitchen was well equipt and it was great to have a dishwasher. The wifi was very fast. There are two friendly cats which our kids enjoyed playing with. Aurons is a charming town to walk around and the view of the valley from the house was so nice to wake up to. The location was very central to everything we wanted to see such as Aix-en-Provence and the lovely villages of Luberon.

We absolutely loved staying at the Haven of Peace at the Peak. Aurons is an adorable town, high up on a small peak. The home was filled with charm, character, and comfort. The views were incredible of the valley. We loved having a glass of wine on the patio each evening. The WiFi was fast and the there are handy amenities like a washer/dryer. Dominique was a great host and very informative. For four of use, there was lots of room. I would highly recommend his home for your Provencal visit.

Dominique was very accommodating to our requests of luggage storage on the days of check in and check out. He was always prompt in replying to our inquiries by email. The house is very large, providing plenty of space for a large party. Love the rain shower that he recently installed in the main bathroom. Also, there's plenty of kitchen utensils for us to cook with. We enjoyed shopping at the local farmer markets nearby and cooking at the house. There's a nice garden where we can dine outside. It is a very QUIET and safe neighborhood. Dominique's house is right in the center of Provence, where it's about an hour drive in all directions to other attractions like Avignon, Arles, Cassis, and Manosque. Great base to explore the surrounding beauties of Provence.

Dominique was kind enough to wait for our arrival even it it was much later than expected. The place, the village and views are lovely, very picturesque with plenty of options for local walks. There is a goats farm nearby, where you can try some of the best local produce. Its is definitely a place to go for for fuddies and nature lovers. The layout of the house its more suitable for a big family or very good bunch of friends. Kitchen was very well equipped and we didn't have to worry about the basics.
