Valerie's place was great. I was only there for one night, and due to some flight delays, arrived late and didn't really get to experience the full offering. I would recommend staying at least two nights, as after breakfast, when the clouds broke and I got to see the property in the daylight, it was quite beautiful. Valeire was very helpful and a great host. She suggested a drive along the Valley of the Fruits (HWY 66), which I took up and was well worth it. SLIDE the gate when you arrive! Don't push.

We had a lovely time at Valerie's place. The surroundings are very pretty and it's generally a very quiet place to spend a few days in the countryside near Talca. Valerie is always available to coordinate a visit to Talca to buy the foodstuff you'll need to cook for yourself in the adequate facilities which offer a delightful view of the surrounding fields.

We had a good experience at Valerie's. The room was very clean, she was extremely nice and we had a very good breakfast. Absolutely a great value for our money. It is definitely a rural experience, no restaurants or shops close by, but on the other hand you are close to nature and get to enjoy the views, including the stars at night. Valerie also has some extremely friendly dogs, one of them followed us on a small trail in the property and another slept outside our door at night.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay and enjoy the area's natural beauty this is is it! We found the room to be super confortable and clean... there is an open kitchen with a gorgeous view, fridge, stove, microwave, and anything we need for cooking. In the mornings the breakfast Valerie makes consists of fresh homemade bread, yogurt, fruit, and is very hearty and good. Overall the days can be spent walking the surroundings, relaxing, playing with the dogs, and she also offers horseback riding and can help arrange excursions. We recommend bringing groceries from town as needed, because there are no stores at a walking distance, although Valerie makes wonderful pizzas and other menu options. We feel very rested and very happy to have stayed here. And, the family is sweet and welcoming, the baby being incredibly cute!

We had a wonderful stay at Valerie's house! She and her family (and dogs) are very friendly and helped us to feel like home. The ecolodge is clean and cosy. You have everything you need. The highlight of our stay was the horseride. Amazing! If we will go to chile one more time, we will stay there again, for sure. Must have: try her selfmade pizza and rösti!

Valerie was a very good host, we didn't get to see the surrounding areas as we were only there for two nights. Our room had two single beds and private bath, it was away from the main house and up a small hill there was our living room where you can do your own cooking. We ate at the main house where Valerie cooked. Make sure you have one of her pizzas it was amazing.

A native of the French region of Switzerland, Valérie came to Chile in 1997 after a trip through South America. She fell in love with the beauty of the Chilean landscape, its mountains and wide open spaces. She is primarily responsible for the well being of our guests, the upkeep of the hotel and she likes mountains and horseback riding.
