The Casita cabana offers an incredible view located near the beach. It features a charming veranda complete with a hammock and a comfortable lounge chair. This cabana is a double bed cabana.
With a private bathroom with a lovely shower. The shower is thoughtfully designed to conserve water, boasting a ceiling of sky, a floor of smooth rock, and walls made of bamboo. We've filled the dispensers with our own natural handmade soaps, crafted with care and creativity, for your enjoyment.

The space
Dereks Place is our home since 1997. Here we found peace, love and a real connection with Mother Nature, where the sun and stars bring lights to our days and nights. After a while we decided to share our place with the vision to offer a different experience of a Caribbean off grid island lifestyle. You will also be closer connected to your own inner peace. Bind with the underwater world diving with us. We believe in a simple life style, in quality vs quantity. We value sustainability and authenticity. Our property features several inviting hammocks and a cozy wood fireplace, perfect for creating a romantic atmosphere in the evenings. We’re also proud to have Kamiavan, our onsite vegetarian restaurant, ready to delight you with delicious, wholesome meals. Kamiavan is open Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM, Saturdays from 7 AM to 2 PM, and Sundays from 7 AM to 10 AM.

For the adventurous at heart, we also offer an onsite dive center, where you can explore the stunning underwater world. Come enjoy a memorable experience in a beautiful setting!

Other things to note
All our rooms come equipped with natural soaps, body gels, shampoos, and hair conditioners, all proudly made right here at Derek's, under our brand, Little Island Naturals. You can also find these products at our charming little shop at Derek's Place.

Please keep in mind that we are situated in a wild environment, home to non-poisonous wildlife such as geckos, spiders, various insects, crabs, birds, dogs, cats, and chickens!

Your reservation is vital to us, as it helps us organize our small business. We want to remind you that we cannot be held responsible for adverse weather conditions that may occur on the island, which can disrupt boat services or lead to rough rides. We hope you don’t experience any issues, but please note that we cannot refund nights lost due to these circumstances. Derek's Place is a pretty, nice place by the beach. We offer five cabanas for rent and we have a dive center onsite ,"The Little Dive Shack by the Sea". For those that are divers or would like to learn, the convenience of not having to rush about the island is yours. For those who want natural beauty and calm, we have hammocks, sand, and soft grass. We produce our own natural soaps for the body and for home, and the food is made with coconut oil produced on the island. Derek's Place is a beautiful place if you look to relax and have a healthy holiday. Disconnect from the outside noise and connect your your inner peace. We have a yoga deck, we practice yoga and meditation We also have a steam-vapor tropical sauna to relax and detoxify the body. Very nice. We also host yoga retreats and other holistic therapies. We serve healthy and natural meals for breakfast, lunch and dinners, in a family home style. Using the earth oven to make bread and other delicious meals. We hope your experience will be a nice one.
