Riverside Cottage is nestled on the edge of a Whinlatter Forest, overlooking a forest ravine in Thornthwaite. The cottage is close to the Skiddaw mountain range, Go Ape and and the Michelin Starred restaurant The Cottage In The Wood. Beautifully renovated, it is light and airy throughout. There are two bedrooms and a family bathroom, a cosy sitting room with a wood burner and a super modern kitchen, both with patio doors opening to the large veranda overlooking the tumbling beck.

The space
Riverside Cottage is nestled on the edge of a forest ravine in Thornthwaite. Newly renovated, it is light and airy throughout with Velux windows on the upper floors. There are two bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs whilst the ground floor offers a pleasant sitting room with a wood burner and a super modern kitchen, both with patio doors opening to the large veranda overlooking the forest ravine and tumbling beck.

Thornthwaite is a very quiet hamlet situated between the eastern edge of Whinlatter Forest and the southern edge of Bassenthwaite Lake. Thornthwaite boasts a popular gallery and tearoom whilst nearby Braithwaite (just 1 mile away) has a shop, two good ‘foody’ pubs and a bistro.

Thornthwaite is a very quiet hamlet situated between the eastern edge of Whinlatter Forest and the southern edge of Bassenthwaite Lake. Thornthwaite boasts a popular gallery and tearoom whilst nearby Braithwaite (just 1 mile away) has a shop, two good ‘foody’ pubs and a bistro.

Just a 10 minute drive from Riverside Cottage is Keswick which offers a wide selection of pubs, restaurants, shops and attractions including a cinema and a theatre. Situated at the northern end of Derwentwater, Keswick is a great place from which to start your exploration of the Northern Lakes.
