We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 250 acres of organic woodland, which is full of wild flowers, deer, birds, including rare turtle doves in summer, and we are one of the few and best places to hear nightingales in May. The Hut is very secluded in it's own sheltered glade, five minutes easy walk from habitation, on a gentle south facing slope.
There is a picnic table and fire pit/BBQ for summer evenings.
Perfect for a quiet get away surrounded by nature at any time of the year.

The space
The Sheep Fold can offer you total peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, but with every mod con to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Wellington Boots are a must (we are in England after all!). If you choose to stay on the property, you can fill your time with walks in the woods and fields, reading, playing board games, cards etc. If you choose to explore the area there are a multitude of places to visit and things to see. Although there is no Wifi there is a mobile phone signal. We provide linen, towels, shampoo etc, coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper. Please bring slippers to wear inside.

Where you’ll be

East Sussex, England, United Kingdom

We are situated in the middle of the High Weald in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, half an hour from the South Coast and an hour or so from London. There are many National Trust Houses and Gardens in the area, together with good pubs and restaurants. Historic Battle is a 20 minute drive, and Rye (with Camber Sands) is 40 minutes. The seaside towns of Bexhill, Eastbourne and Brighton are all under an hour, as are Canterbury, Maidstone and Haywards Heath.
