The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of space to our stuff, and the house is unique and lovely, is a truly art gallery! We had all what we needed, we cooked in the full equipped kitchen, in summary, we were like in our own home. Also, the location is very good, at literally 5 minutes from Aldi and several cafes and restaurants in East Didsbury. But best of all, Helena and Martin are the perfect hosts! They are really friendly, and offered us all the help we needed. Helena speaks Czech and Martin speaks a bit Spanish. We would repeat again, no doubt!

When you come into Helena´s home you think you enter an art gallery. It´s just amazing. I had a nice conversation beforehand about the check-in. It was very flexible. She´s really nice as is the rest of her family. The room is upstairs and contains a double-bed - very cozy. There´s a sink in the room which is really convenient. There is enough space to store all your luggage. The shared bathroom is next door with a shower in the bathtube. Helena kindly offered breakfast with cereals and milk, bagels and pancakes. Tea and coffee was provided too (I don´t drink coffee but the coffee machine looked very sophisticated :-) and came with a long instruction so it must be good). We were allowed to use the common rooms like the music room, dining area and living room too. I went together with my 8-year old daugther, a little artist herself. Helena had paper and pens for her to use. There are four men in the house too, three of them kids and very kind. I wear earplugs so can´t say anything about the noise in the morning (I had a sleep-in until about 9am and my daughther didn´t complain so the noise level wasn´t bad I assume). Helena and Martin invited my for a glass of wine in the evening and we had a very good conversation. But it was not forced so if you rather want to stay in your room that´s up to you. The bus station is just around the corner and buses go at least every 10 mins into the city center. The center of Didsbury is only a five minute walk away. There are some nice pubs there as well as local supermarkets. I was told the cheese store to be very good.

Very friendly and helpful people who take care of their guests. Breakfast was good. The room was ok. For our standard it was a bit dirty.

This is a lovely welcoming family home in an ideal location. It's close proximity to Didsbury village and access to Manchester transport links makes it a gr8 option. It is only a five minute walk to Didsbury's Parks, Restaurants and shops
