We had a great stay in Marieke's beautiful boat, the marina is beautiful and right next to the restaurants and shops!

Marieke welcomed us friendly, the check-in was 1 hour later as planned but that wasn't her fault, she had a car problem. She showed us the harbour and the boat. The harbour is awesome, nice boats and a perfect location. The boat is really beautiful but in our opinion it gets to less love for such a wunderful boat. We are pretty sure that the water tank wasn`t filled up for us cause it only reached for one day and it became empty while showering. One bathroom wasn`t cleaned. Next to a lot of sand there was a stranger, used swimming trunk. (Maybe from the previous guests) Sleeping in a boat is really a great experience and I would definitly do it again but somewhere else. We had a really strong smell in the boat. Sometimes it was stronger, sometimes it was nearly not noticeable. Pumping the toilet helped in the beginning. (Nobody of us used the toiled for a "big business" cause we were afraid the smell could become worse.) At our last night, the smell became stronger and stronger. One of us tried to sleep outside the cabin/on top of the boat. But even this was not possible. I was really sick and really close to vomit. And we are really not squeamish, normally we are really modest guests. The smell led to a earlier check-out, we left the place without finishing cleaning up (sorry for that but it was absolutely not possible, we tried). We left in the middle of the night, called a taxi and slept in the airport. We are pretty sure that there is something leaky which causes the smell. The communication was sometimes better sometimes not really good. One time Marieke answered us directly, another time we had to wait till the next day for a response and at least (after our check-out) she didn`t answered our messages, when we tried it with (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) we got a "We are sorry that you had problems with the smell" as response for a long description of our stay. Alghero is a awesome town and the boat is perfect located to everything. 10 minutes to the beach Under 5 minutes into the oldtown Even in the harbour the boat has one of the best places.

Living on boat was good experience, boat is near the city center so it is great position. Marieke is nice person and there wasn't problem with communication. When we had problem, staff from Aquatica were really helpful.

Spacious boat with a great location for exploring old Alghero, it's also just a short walk to the city beaches. Marieke is a very friendly host. We enjoyed our stay in Alghero and Mariekes boat!
