The Sanctuary, is a secluded self catering cabin set in a private walled garden, ideal for anyone who wants to get away and retreat for a while. There is a private access to the cabin through the garden gate. The garden is shared with the owners and 3 friendly dogs. The cabin is fitted out for use of one person or two people sharing (a single or twin). It has an on-suite shower and toilet, and a kitchenette fully equipped. The cabin has emergency lighting and USB charging points.

Ideal place for one to two people (twin beds), separate access from house.
You stay with us and you are right in the centre of Holy Island - but far away from all. Throughout the busy days you can enjoy the secluded calm and peace of our garden, the ideal place to retreat.
Self catering, the cabin has a small kitchenette, with fridge, stove, microwave, slow cooker, kettle, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, small pantry, kitchen utensils.
The cabin has an en-suite shower and W.C. There is WiFi access if required, although limited due to the general island connectivity.

Guest access
As a guest you would have access to the garden and cabin.

Other things to note
We have 3 dogs that have free access to the main garden. They are friendly, one is a rescue and is barky, but friendly.
It is important to note that Holy Island is a tidal island and is only accessible at certain times. When inquiring please ask about the times.

Neighbourhood highlights

The village of Holy Island is small, but very busy throughout the summer season, providing a lot of attractions for visitors.
Holy Island is bathed in history being the birth place of Christianity in the North and one of the first places that the vikings 'visited'.

There is selection of fine shops in the village, where you can get the famous Lindisfarne Mead, celtic crafts and jewellery, Holy Island Gin, distilled here on the island and worth every sip, Pilgrim's Coffeehouse with its wonderful selection of fresh homemade cakes and savouries and their choice of freshly roasted coffee. You can watch them roasting their coffee.

You like eating out? You have the choice of 2 pubs and the restaurant the Manor House Hotel. As mentioned before, the island can be very busy, so please book your tables well in advance!!
