Location

Drouseia, Paphos, Cyprus

Villa Dyana is a short walk from the centre of Droushia village, with its traditional coffee shops, restaurants and grocery shops. The resorts of Polis and Latchi are a 15 minute drive away, where you can find large supermarkets and a great choice of restaurants, tavernas, bars etc. Droushia (or Drouseia) itself is a quaint yet vibrant traditional Cypriot village. Narrow streets befriend old fashioned coffee shops, traditional churches hide among old stone houses, and village inhabitants enjoy a pace of life that once characterised the days of old. With the name of the village derived from the Greek word ‘Drosia’ meaning ‘cool’, the village enjoys a refreshing breeze in summer which comes in from the sea.
But Droushia is far more than just a pretty village; what makes it unique is its fantastic location, set on the high ground of the Laona plateau, bordering the wild Akamas Peninsula Nature Reserve and standing 600 metres above sea level. Because of its high altitude, breath-taking views make Droushia truly unique. Look out in one direction and you can see Chrysochous Bay and it's deep blue seas, with the seaside town of Latchi and Polis clearly visible. Then there are panoramic views of Akamas to take in, and the Troodos mountains are visible in the other direction. Take a walk or drive just outside the village into the rolling hills and you’ll come across the Droushia Rocks, unusual stunning rock formations, which adventurous types will love to climb. The villa is located right on the edge of the Akamas National Park, so it's perfect as a base for exploring it's famous natural beauty spots, such as Lara Bay, Avakas Gorge, Akamas Forest and the Baths of Aphrodite among others.

I really enjoy the opportunity to personally welcome my guests on their arrival day and show them around. Otherwise myself and my husband are available on call at all times for any assistance, and we live only a few minutes away.
