Step back in time and come and relax in my traditional farmhouse, overlooking Tralee Bay to the north and the Slieve Mish mountains to the south. Foilatrisnig has been farmed by my husband's family since the late 1700's, and my son is continuing to farm here, so guests are advised that they might meet tractors and trailers coming and going.
The original part of the present house was built in 1854 and has served the generations well since , being updated as time goes on.

The space
Enjoy a super king size bed, dressed with natural bedding in a spacious bedroom, complete with private shower and toilet. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. A light breakfast is also included (cereal, tea/coffee, brown bread.)
I have a large farm dog, Oscar, that comes in and out of the house.
The farmhouse is a smoke free and wifi free zone, although wifi is available in the pubs in Camp. Mobile phone coverage is also intermittent.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to my home and have the use of my kitchen, living room and sun room. I only have 2 guests at a time, so you will only meet members of my own family dropping by.

Other things to note
I like all kinds of handcrafts, particularly sewing and patchwork. I attend the Sewing Shed in Keel, Castlemaine, run by teacher, and textile artist,Nikki Foley, regularly for workshops and "sit and sew".
Arrangements can easily be made to book for either day workshops or 3 day courses (Thursday, Friday and Saturday ).
Please check the "Sewing Shed" (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) page for a complete programme of classes and themed weekends up until the end of 2017.
Dingle , a 30 minute drive away, hosts several festivals throughout the year. The first weekend of October is Dingle Food Festival. Mid October is Dingle Trad Fest.
Early in December, RTE records "Other Voices" in St. James' church.
Dingle is one of the top places in the world to experience Christmas and New Year festivities.
In February there is the "Storm Festival".
Dingle is the place to be, every season of the year!
