Unique historical home in the heart of Kentucky. This home is a fully restored 18th century inn, and currently a working farm. All the modern amenities, but you'll feel like you are in another time. Peace and quiet in a secluded valley surrounded by mature trees, a beautiful lawn, and plenty of outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. A perfect place to unwind and relax while being less than 5 minutes from downtown Danville, 35 minutes from Lexington, 90 minutes from Louisville.
The home was originally an inn that served settlers and pioneers coming along the Wilderness Trail through Kentucky. There are a couple of very unique details that are in keeping with the original use of the home including the original staircase to the upper floor. While beautiful, it cannot be considered handicap accessible. Persons with difficulty walking or climbing stairs may be restricted to using the main floor only. There is no sleeping area on the main floor.
There are horses, cows and farm cats that may be out and about during your stay. We will be on the grounds feeding all the animals during your stay.
