Hiroyuki-san and his mother are super friendly host ! Enjoy their warm hospitality and delicious dinner and breakfast ! The location is secluded but it fits our expectation well for a real countryside feel just next to rice and buckwheat field ! We were there during the buckwheat flowers season ! Really gorgeous ! Love this place

We had rented a car so it was real easy to find Hioyuki's house. It took a little over half an hour from Asahikawa. He has a lot of dogs that were very excited when we arrived but don't be misled. Hiroyuki and his mother are both so kind! They are such generous hosts. We had our own living room to hang out in and where we slept upstairs was a beautiful traditional style Japanese room. I would stay here again and wish I had stayed longer. There is definitely enough room to accommodate quite a few guests!

My cute boyfriend and I booked this place 2-3hrs before turning up at the door as we could not find accommodation in the city. Talk about being adventurous eh? Anyway, the host was efficient in replying and speaks sufficient English to accommodate you and even chat over some beers. Despite it being so last minute, we were pleasantly surprised by the views along the way, and the hospitality of the host and his mother. OH and if you love shiba inus (more famously known as 'doge's in the meme world), they have EIGHT of them cuties for you to walk and have fun with. I got to rub the tummies of enough shiba inus to last my lifetime and I must say the dogs were the best surprise in this booking (aside from the beautiful views of vast hills and plains). The stay is really good for value too. You get to sleep on tatami as well so yay for a more authentic Japanese experience. P.s. while you can't see the milky way at night, you can still see plenty of stars if the weather cooperates. Even though the place is sort of accessible by public transport, it is best if you rent a car and drive in because there isn't anything nearby but trees and fields. Bugs at night are aplenty. My partner and I forgot and we opened the windows and the place was quickly swarmed with bugs around the lights in our room. Bring along a mosquito coil if you want to play it safe or simply request it from the host. The water takes quite a while to heat up so do set aside more time for your showers.

This place is rather remote from any bigger city but this was the beauty in it. We were seeking for some relaxation with not much people around us after a long car trip around Hokkaido. The room was spacious with an additional room for having food and relaxing (a kind of second living room, even with TV). The host was so kindly to provide water, tea, and even a nice breakfast. Best AirBnB so far!
