Clean, comfortable room in the quiet Boston neighborhood of Roslindale. We are conveniently located just steps from the MBTA bus stop which will take you to the Forest Hills Train Station. We are a short walk to American Legion Shopping Center with several restaurants and shops. The heart of the city of Boston and all it's activities are easily accessible from the house, as are outlying attractions like the Blue Hills Reservation, Gillette Stadium, Cape Cod (45 min.), and the Franklin Park Zoo.
The house is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood of Boston called Roslindale. The room has one Queen Sized 24" Luxury Aerobed. You can easily adjust the firmness/softness using the attached remote control. This room is incredibly versatile. Super spacious for two yet comfortable enough to accommodate more. If you happen to be traveling with a third/fourth, there is a Queen Sized Air Mattress in the utility closet to the right as you first enter the house. Bathroom is shared with other Airbnb Travelers. It's small but it has everything you need: Toilet, Shower, Sink and Large Mirrors. **Please be advised that this listing is NOT handicapped accessible.**
You have a bathroom on the 1st floor that is shared with other Abnb Travelers.
Please do not go up to the higher floors for any reason at all. The resident who live upstairs get super weird about it.
You also have access to the Common Living Room that includes a large screen television with complimentary Netflix, Amazon Prime and Mobile-Device-Casting.
Interaction with guests
I work full time during the day and teach at a university near Downtown at night. You will most likely see me very early in the morning (before 6am) or much later in the evening (after 11pm).
I am super responsive to text messages so if you need anything feel free to text/Whats-App or call me.
If you don't hear back from me right away its because I'm in a meeting or teaching a class. Otherwise, you should hear back from me very quickly.
Other things to note
As Boston's southernmost neighborhood, Roslindale/HP offers the intangibles of city life as well as the open space more commonly associated with the suburbs. The historic Neponset River runs through this neighborhood that was annexed to the City of Boston in 1912. Roslindale/HP's unmatched community spirit is on display in the many small shops and restaurants along Hyde Park Avenue, River Street and Fairmount Avenue that make up the Cleary and Logan Square business districts. In the spring and summer, many city residents flock to Hyde Park to golf at the George Wright Golf Course, one of the city's two municipal golf courses. Hyde Park's charm has also captured the heart of former Mayor Thomas M. Menino, a lifelong resident.
- Your room is on the first floor. In the US, that is the same floor as when you first walk into the house. Please do not go up to any of the higher floors. You should not have to utilize stairs at any time.
- There will be other guests staying in rooms throughout the house. Please keep this in mind.
- There is plenty of street parking. Please do not park in the driveway unless otherwise discussed with Davis.
- Please do not use the Washer and Dryer on the first floor.
