Clean, spacious, wonderful location on an avocado farm, complete with fabulous daily breakfasts served at the time of your choosing, fresh Kona coffee, and tons of fresh fruit (much of which is grown on the property). Each morning our 3 year-old looked forward to helping Pam feed the goats and sheep and play with the dogs outside. Wonderful heated outdoor saltwater pool, and a gorgeous view from the side of a mountain over Kona. Pam was full of suggestions of things to do in the area, and each was spot-on. An absolutely fantastic part of our vacation!

Pam is a wonderful host, and very friendly as well as informative. She gave us yummy breakfast every morning. It was like staying with a family member. She is a truly genuinly caring person. She helped us plan our daily experiences by guiding us to local places with maps, brouchures, and verbal accuracy. The animals were cool to watch. The outdoor tub and indoor indoorwere very relaxing. The room was nice, big and clean! I would reccomend this place to anyone visiting the island. Our experience was truly fantastic!

My stay with Pamela at Green lions Bed and Breakfast was flawless. Her hospitality and eagerness to inform me of places to go was above and beyond the call of duty. I so enjoyed our talks over breakfast. The house and room were spacious and clean and the view is awesome. I would not hesitate to return. By the way the breakfasts are totally awesome.

The accommodation is situated in the upper areas of Kona (about 6 miles or 10 min drive to Kona) with a little cooler climate than at the ocean. The view over Kona and the sunsets in evening are fantastic. The bedroom is large with a comfortable bed and adjacent bathroom with a really large walk-in shower. In the bathroom is also the sauna but we did not make use of it. In the morning you can hear the sounds of the chickens/rooster and sheep. Pamela made a delicious breakfast which was a little different every morning (eggs, pancakes, french toast, omlette, bacon, sausage ...). She is very knowledgable about the island and helped us a lot with identifying the best places and how to get there. Pamela also provided us with a cooler, ice and bodyboards for when we went to the beaches. Some nights we used the BBQ grill to prepare Ahi steaks or island meat for dinner while sitting on the lanai and watching the sunset. The three dogs are very friendly and enjoy being petted. We had a wonderful 12 days and really felt very welcome. We would definitely come back.

Pam made us feel most welcome and the food was good. in fact we had to ask Pam to make the breakfast a little smaller or we would needed help getting to the car after 10 days from gaining too much weight. The room was comfortable and spacious with everything we needed. We came and went as we pleased with no problems. As expected we did need a car and it is about a 10 - 15 min. drive into town. If possible plan to arrive in daylight as it is very dark around Kona after sunset due to street lighting restrictions. Pam has good suggestions for restaurants and activities and the beaches are great. Thanks Pam for a good stay. Barb & Barry

Interesting and unique experience. The room is very large and very clean so it worked well for our family of three. Breakfast was delicious. We were disappointed that the pool could not be used while we were there (pool cleaner didn't come by and the owner said it takes 1-1/2 hour to heat it). There are roosters that crow at night/early morning.

Response from Pamela:
I am so very sorry that pool wasn,t what you expected. We did heat for you but you came late from dinner. Since we live in the mountains it is heated when you want to get use it, which is 1 to 1.5 hours to heat. Yes the rooster will crow sometimes, it is a farm.
