I have to start by saying that Marc is a wonderful host. He met us when we arrived (very late) I have to add. But helped us with our luggage (there were four adults in our group). After we settled in we found that there were a few things that were amiss. I got onto Marc and when we arrived in the evening.....a coffee maker, a kettle (one of us is a tea drinker), iron, ironing board and extra towels. Also we found that the oven was not functional. Marc suggested visit the vacant apartments and feel free to move into one of these. Thank you Marc. So the apartment is located just of St.Jacques. A car is a definite for getting to places. The No. 90 bus does go all the way to Atwater and the heart of downtown is only a few stops on the metro from Atwater. Supermarkets, there is a Basics and Provigo heading East but a distance to walk. In the other direction (towards Dollard) there is a Metro supermarket, again a distance to walk though the No 123 bus goes there. The apartments are clean and spacious. Internet was still working fully with four phones, an iPad, a tablet and two laptops all connected. There is a washing machine and dryer in the apartment (but don't use them at night as they can tend to be a bit noisy. Marc even left the some soap so we could wash our clothes. Thanks again Marc

Very clean space that was quiet and close to the highway. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

This place meets your basic needs for a trip - you certainly wouldn't be wrong to book it, especially if you aren't spending much time there. It is an excellent deal, but you should be aware that it is far from downtown Montreal ((SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps will say 20-30 minute travel to various places, but it was almost always 30-40). We also did not feel it was the safest neighborhood (but we never experienced anything dangerous). Although this was no fault of the host, I still feel I should inform future guests: because of the location, we were cancelled on a few times for Ubers (especially when we called an uber XL), as the drivers said we were too far away. We still traveled primarily by Uber, however, because we struggled with the bus system (buses sometimes didn't show up where they were supposed to, likely due to all the construction in the city, and even when they did, the ride was an hour), making travel to and from the city more difficult.

Marc's place was very conveniently located close to the highway, and a bus stop that brings you straight into the heart of Montreal. We had very comfortable beds, and the living room was lovely. The upstairs tenants were very noisy in the mornings, but that's unavoidable in places like this. If you are hoping to make meals while staying here, come prepared with cooking supplies/ utensils. (Also bring dish soap, since none is provided.) Marc was sick during our stay, and did not check in with us or bring us extra soap as I had requested. However, his customer service was awesome! He offered us a 10% discount to compensate, and I am overall very happy with our stay. Thank you for hosting us, Marc.

The location was terrible for our needs. Transit took forever to get anywhere. Area is unwalkable and right next to a highway, no shopping or restaurants near by. The apartment is a basement apartment and felt very unsafe. The neighbours were loud and the neighbourhood was rough. The apartment was clean, but the kitchen is unequiped so it's not like you could really bring food and cook a meal for yourself comfortably. The price was affordable, but I expected more.

L'endroit a été totalement rénové. Bien que les alentours ne soient pas si sensas, c'est tout de même pratique, près des accès d'autoroute, du canal Lachine et de la piste cyclable et près des restaurants de la rue Newman.
