This beautiful, bright, handcrafted cabin is set in a secluded meadow within the rolling hills of the Devonshire countryside. Surrounded by nature, the birds and the bees, its the perfect place to unplug and relax, yet be 12 minutes drive from the quaint and quirky town of Totnes. The wilderness of Dartmoor national Park is a 15 minute drive away and the nearest beaches on the South coast are 30 minutes away.

The space
The cabin stands in its own field, which itself is set within 16 acres of a hidden valley in rural south Devon. Between our house and the cabin woodland and wild quarry. There are walkways snaking around the land and there's even a little brook at the bottom of the valley. Our house is on the other side of the property, affording guests a real sense of seclusion and solitude.

Cabin features:
- A beautifully handcrafted, solar-powered cabin in the depths of the Devon countryside.
- A simple elegant kitchen with gas hobs and running water.
- An elevated "loft" bed with natural, organic super comfortable Devon-made King size mattress and linen.
- An off-grid outside compost toilet and thrilling(!) outdoor *hot-water* shower.
- Wood-fired stove and outdoor iron fire place.
- Set in a secluded meadow overlooking a wooded valley.
- Designed for lovers of simplicity, natural beauty and peace.

Guest access
There is a Welcome Shed beside the parking area, a two minute walk from the cabin.
There is a wheelbarrow to help with luggage should you need it! And directions to the cabin, which stands in its own field beyond the hedgeline above.

Other things to note
Detailed information about the cabin, compost loo, outdoor shower and electrics is provided on arrival but here are the essentials:
Fresh bed linen and towels are provided.
There is no wifi, but some mobile signal.
The cabin does not have a fridge but a cool box is provided with fresh ice blocks on request. If you have items that need more consistent refrigeration you are welcome to use our fridge.
The same goes for laundry.
The cabin is off-grid so power is limited - e.g. no hairdryers - but mobiles can be charged.
A basket of logs and kindling are provided to keep you toasty. More firewood is available from the Welcome Shed at a small charge.
The birdsong is plentiful!

Location

Totnes, Devon, United Kingdom

The valley in which the cabin sits is genuinely tucked away, but reassuringly close to Totnes. It takes less than 12 mins to drive to the bustling, characterful town which is filled with cafes, independent shops and curios. It's a fascinating and beautiful town complete with castle and two weekly markets, as well as monthly food market.
15 mins drive north is the edge of Dartmoor National Park. 368 square miles of wild beauty: open moor and wooded valley, famed for it's tors (granite outcrops) and neolithic landscapes. You could spend days up there and only just being to touch the wealth of wilderness on offer.
30 mins drive south or west and you reach the sea. Its a spectacular meeting - rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, surf and spume. There are some great places to eat if you know where to look - we'll recommend our picks.
