Welcome to rent the Brantestad sisters' cottage in Småländska Brantestad near the forest and lake. Whether you want an active vacation with proximity to exciting experiences, or if peace and quiet is what you are looking for, this is the place for you!

From the cottage there are many excursion destinations and attractions, about 20 minutes to Astrid Lindgren's World and Nossenbadet in Vimmerby, about 40 minutes to Västervik.

NOTE! A car is a must to get to the cottage as public transport is not available.

The space
The cottage is about 80 sqm with kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms and living room downstairs. A large loft with sleeping space for two upstairs. The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, stove, oven, coffee maker/kettle. In the living room there is room for a dining area, sofa group and cozy fireplace for heat and coziness. There are board games and books to read :).

A large double bed (160*200) and a smaller bed (90*200) make up the beds on the lower floor. On the loft there are two beds (110*200) (120*200). In the bathroom, there is access to a shower and sink. Please note that there is no water toilet but next to the cabin there is an outdoor toilet.

NOTE: Final cleaning, towels and bed linens are not included! You need to bring your own bed linen: sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases and your own towels. And clean the cottage before departure.

Note: we do not have a TV or a water toilet. It is possible to connect a computer to the TV screen.

Animals are welcome and smoking is allowed outdoors.

Guest access
Outside the house there is a small lawn for badminton, kubb, etc. For those who want to move around, there is the beautiful hiking trail, Brantestad's Nature Trail about 10 km long, a 30-minute walk from the cottage, walk or borrow a bike from us or park the car at Brantestad's school.
Patio with outdoor furniture and kettle grill available. The house is a few hundred meters from Lake Yxern and you can glimpse the lake from the balcony of the cottage. Yxern is Kalmar County's largest lake but is still quite unknown and anonymous as it is hidden in the forest. A short distance away, at Gröpplesand, there is a nice swimming area.

Other things to note
Welcome binder is available in the cabin with helpful information. We will also send a welcome letter via email before your arrival at the cottage.
