The place is very quiet and private and her family is very attentive. It was a pleasure meeting them and i hope to see them in the future.

If you're looking for a nice stay, I do not recommend this place. It is a great price, but totally not worth it. The bed is filled with bed bugs, thankfully we did not bring them back with us. It's a very cute place, but uncomfortably hot. If you enjoy A/c and not hot humid night…

Response from Yvette:
Nyasia Nana whose real name is Lauren Morgan and her friend Samantha should not have expected an A/C room because the ad did not say so. They had a choice therefore to open the front door. For cleaning we as hosts were never sure when they were in/out to ensure that the space was kept clean - hence the privacy would be impacted. Host can only clean when guests are absent. They slept in the day and went out at night. To check, I would accompany my husband because they are females and he insisted that I come because you can never take anything for granted and he was correct. The knocking of the door and looking occurred in order to verify that no one was there to proceed with the cleaning. It is difficult to see anyone inside with mosquito nets at the windows. We were left in a predicament knowing when to clean. They volunteered to clean and we gave them garbage bags to place in the bins. The maggots are a result of them not emptying the bin when filled. Now this a a job that would have been done by us-(they volunteered to do this). They even admitted to us it was their fault for not taking out the garbage. The reason for this volunteering is because Lauren refused to disclose that they invited a male to sleep over many nights against the house rules and smoked illegal substance against the house rules. We did not throw them out because they had no where else to go and little/no funds. We had no issues/complaints with the bed from other guests prior to listing...We will check on this and if found we will certainly change the mattress. The fan was replaced when they indicated it was not functioning. How else could you replace it unless you open the door and enter?. The tape over the fan was to dim the lighting on the fan. The stove works the oven doesn't and they were told this. We do not recommend baking in this unit because of safety precautions. Why then insist on baking? and baking a short time before going to the airport? We responded by giving them something to eat during their flight. As hosts, we supplied them with different food items which is not a big deal. But what we found is that they did not even acknowledge the fact that we called the ambulance when Samantha was very ill with severe pains and in and out of consciousness. She had to be taken by ambulance to the emergency unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital here. These young people ages 21 and 22 were treated like our children. They needed guidance from the very first night they came at 10.00 p.m and wanted to go when public transportation finishes at 11:30. We advised them against this because they were not acquainted with the environment. In retrospect we will enforce the house rules when broken regardless of what circumstances guest find themselves in.
