34 High Street is a beautiful Grade II Listed cottage, dating back to the 1700's. The cottage has been newly refurbished and is set in the heart of Bridge Village, situated just 2.5 miles outside the stunning City of Canterbury. The village is in the Nailbourne valley, a quiet rural setting surrounded by farmland, yet with excellent links to London and Dover. The village has 3 supurb pubs along the High Street, as well as a local shop, post office and pharmacy.

The space
We have recently refurbished the cottage and would welcome guests comments and suggestions. As our guests will appreciate once they arrive, the cottage is an old building but we have chosen a contemporary feel which we think compliments the living space.

Guest access
The entire space inside and out is available for guests with a small under stairs cupboard upstairs which we have locked, as it contains essential cleaning and linen supplies.

Other things to note
The cottage has three bins and a recycling box, all of which are located in the alleyway at the side of the hosue. The Green Bin is for garden waste, Grey/Black bin for general waste which should be bagged and a Blue bin is for plastics and glass. Cardboard can be placed in the recycling box next to the bins. The bins are collected on a Thursday, details of which will be provided within the welcome pack. However, Paul who lives at number 32 High Street has access from his back garden through the garden of 34 High Street in order to wheel his bins. Paul will very kindly often put our bins out too and will generally only need to use the shared access for the purpose of putting his bins in and out.
The cottage has central heating although there is also a wood burning stove in the lounge, which can be rather lovely in the winter months. A complimentary wood pack will be available during each stay and additional wood and kindling can be purchased from the local Londis Store on The High Street.
The Lavazza Minu coffee machine is stored in the kitchen cupboard next to the oven and we generally leave a few complimentary coffee pods in the coffee pot for guests to use. However, should you require more coffee pods during your stay, Lavazza Minu compatible pods can be purchased from the majority of the Supermarket Chains, including Tesco and Sainsbury's in Canterbury.

Bridge is a friendly and well established village, with the majority of the residents having lived there for quite some time. The 3 pubs in the village are warm and welcoming, with the White Horse and the Red Lion serving excellent food and benefitting from lovely beer gardens. Paul is the chap who lives next door and he is a very friendly, retired gentleman who you may see as you come and go. The cottage is directly on the High Street and whilst the village is relatively quiet, guests will expect to hear some road noise from the cars etc.
