This working cattle farm, located on 36 acres with a panoramic view of the New Hampshire countryside, is adjacent to miles of trails for hiking, skiing or snowshoes. Stay the night and you'll want to stay forever at this magical farm on the hill.

Miles Smith Farm was founded in the 1830's by Miles Smith who, with his wife and daughters, are buried in the farm cemetery. Our Scottish Highlander cattle are so tame we ride them. You can too!
And we have a special pig, Charlotte, who will entertain you and your family by rolling over to have her belly scratched. And Angus, our lop eared rabbit, or Tazzy, our house pig, will gladly spend time with you in the apartment.
A full kitchen with dishwasher is included. Our Solar Farm Store is located on the farm (next to the barn) for some fantastic grass fed beef, pastured pork and lamb and many other locally produced items. We don't sell alcohol, so bring your own wine or beer.
The downstairs bathroom has a champagne tub and shower, while the upstairs bath is a private bath with shower, off the master bedroom. The apartment is private from the main house.
We have miles and miles of trails for snow shoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer. If you want to snow shoe let us know. We'll rent you some gear.
We have one TV with a a VCR player. We have a selection of children's VCR tapes.
A small charcoal grill is available for rent ($10 one time fee), complete with charcoal. Let us know if you would like to use it while you stay.
Guests may wander around the farm and, for a small fee, participate in farm activities such as cow riding, ox cart riding, horseback riding or helping with farm chores.
We have a Farm Store where guests can purchase locally sourced groceries including meat that was raised on the farm. We have bread, eggs, yogurt, donuts, milk, vegetables, honey, maple syrup, ice cream, pies, pastries and more. All of it is local!
In July and August guests can sit with the piglets! We let you sit with the piglets who will nibble on your toes and delight you with their joyous squigling.
And we give you a $10 store credit for your first night's stay so you can choose your favorite local foods for your breakfast.
Guests will check in and check out at the Farm Store. There is a minimum $50 pet fee ($25 for each additional pet), which can be paid in the farm store. All pets must be leashed while outside.
Interaction with guests
We will welcome guests on their arrival and make sure you are familiar with farm rules. We will help you tend the wood stove and explain options for participating in farm activities and how to access the store.

We offer you the experience of living on a working farm just like your parents or grandparents place. You can stay just one night but there will be a separate $30 cleaning fee for a one night stay. Please email me so we can make special arrangements.

No smoking is allowed and we expect our guests to treat our home just like they lived here all the time. Any pets must be approved before bringing and must be on a leash while outside.
Miles Smith Farm is a small family owned farm raising cattle, pigs and turkeys. In addition we have two horses, chickens and ducks. We have an on-farm store where customers can buy local products and our grass fed beef.
