Description

The space

The bedrooms are on opposing sides of the apartment, so it's very private. The work out space is complete with two benches, a few free weights, yoga mats, and an eliptical, so you can get your workout in while you're here!

The neighborhood has a great mix of working professionals, students, and young families. We've got everything nearby and it's all walkable! A great local grocery store, Eddie's Market, literally around the corner, not to mention plenty of food spots from local Donna's, Maxie's, and Niwana to chains like Starbucks, Chipotle, Freshii, 7 Eleven, etc a block away. There's also a dry cleaners, Kinkos, and a Barnes & Nobles around the corner. The Wyman Park Dell, is a park right down the street in front of the Baltimore Museum of Art, which is free to visit by the way. We also have a farmer's market every saturday.

If you want to jump in your car the chain grocery stores are less than 5 minutes drive away, as well the eclectic Baltimorean Hampden neighborhood which is great for thrift shopping, yoga classes, a local movie theater, even more good eats and a little bit of a bar scene (not much competition for Fells Point, but still). Downtown, Fells Point/Harbor East, Fed Hill are all about a ten minute drive.

MTA (Baltimore's public bus) has a bus stop in front of our building, but I always take the John's Hopkins shuttle and the Charm City bus which are both free and nearby. There are also plenty of cabs around as well as lyft and uber. Also, we are less than 10 minutes away from Penn Station (train station) where you can catch the MARC (commuter train), AMTRACK (regional train line the connects major cities throughout the Northeast), and the Bolt bus (bus line that connects major cities throughout the Northeast).

Please Note: Do not take the Megabus instead of the Bolt Bus to Baltimore because the stop is actually in the county not the city so it's about an hour cab ride away

We'd love to have you whether it's just for a weekend, for weeks at a time, or on a semester basis. We are flexible in pricing and can set a special price depending on what your situation is, just send us a message to let us know you're interested.

Thanks for taking a look! Cheers.

House Rules
Check in is anytime after 1PM
Check out by 12PM (noon)

Generally Speaking: Linens and towels are provided and laundered for you, however guests are expected to make their own beds and clean up after themselves (ie. Prep and post cooking clean up, bathroom and bedroom use, post entertaining guests etc). Your bedroom is your space, however please do not leave dirty dishes or food waste in your bedroom, as this will attract pests.

Kitchen & Bathroom Etiquette: Space in the kitchen and bathroom will be provided for you to store groceries and toiletries. In the kitchen, feel free to use items in the pantry however items in the fridge or in the bathroom are not up for grabs without mention.

Also, please don't leave used dishes in the sink, in the living room, on the balcony, and again in your room. Also please don't leave puddles in the bathroom.

Balcony and Work Out Area: Balcony access is only restricted when the bedroom door is closed. Feel free to use the work out equipment, but please wipe down workout equipment post use. Wipes are provided.

Regarding trash removal: bags are available in the kitchen pantry if you need to replace your trash bag. You can dispose of full trash bags in the bin outside the kitchen door.

When dealing with food waste, please do not leave food waste exposed in any trash bins, especially if it's any kind of protein. Dispose of your food waste in the small waste bin in the kitchen, tie the bag, and it in the bin outside the kitchen door. This is to prevent pests from coming into the apartment for food, especially in the summer time.

Regarding pets: No cats, reptiles, or hamsters, but we're open to small dogs on a case by case basis.

Our host was very welcoming and easy to work with. Our plane was late, but our host kindly waited and made the "check in" easy. This apartment is very close to the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus and just around the corner from Eddie's grocery. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting our JHU student. It was quiet and clean, and we really enjoyed seeing the lovely artifacts and other decor from around the world.

Our host was very polite and ensured we had a proper debrief of how everything worked in the apartment upon arrival and before he left for the evening. We had a relatively quiet evening with the exception of some of the nightlife noises from people walking on the street drifting in the window (we were early to bed, early to rise due to the event we traveled for). Room was clean, kitchen and bathroom are small but tidy and had everything we needed. The location was great for proximity to our event and I was able to refresh my parallel parking skills on the street. We were able to locate street parking within a half block of the apartment every time we left and returned.
