This is my own home which is available while I am travelling through july and august 2017. It is a small wooden house in a beautiful rural area of southern France. It is a very quiet spot ideal for writer, a couple or small family (up to 4). Wild swimming places withing a short drive, lots of lovely possibilities for hiking and visiting cathar castles. You would need a car - the house is up a steep hill from the village of Fa which has a lively cafe/bar. Shops and markets within 10 minute drive.
The outdoor space is beautiful and wild (butterfly and lizard paradise) but in full sun without a lot of shade. I would appreciate help with a small amount of plant watering. The site is on a hillside so young children would need to be supervised. There is a nice wooden floor throughout (good for yoga practice) but only a small 2 seater sofa and one armchair. The third bedroom has a communicating door with the double bedroom and access from it to the bathroom/wc is either through the double bedroom or across the outdoor patio area.
I will put away some of my personal belongings to give you wardrobe and drawer space. There is WIFI which you will be able to access however it can be erratic and slow.
Interaction with guests
I am not available personally however a friend will oversee your stay and you will have another contact number for emergencies
Other things to note
my house is on the hill overlooking the village (hence beautiful view)and access is up a steep hill with an s bend. This may not suit nervous drivers. I have wild garden with plenty of insects - butterflies, lizards, bees, wasps, spiders, on occasion visited by a toad. There is no outdoor lighting and no street lighting - beautiful clear starlit skies.
- No shoes in the house
