This is a great home as your base camp for visiting Portland. It's comfortable and cozy with a large, fully equipped kitchen, full bath and two good sized rooms for your small family or group of friends. Common area has TV with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime and you'll find good coffee and morning treats awaiting you in the kitchen when you arrive. The comfortable covered porch swing provides a great way to relax after a big day of shopping in downtown Portland or a walk on the riverfront.

The space

The upper floor of this charming bungalow is all yours for your stay. It includes two bedrooms, a full bath, large kitchen and a lovely front porch with bistro and swing. There is parking in the driveway as well as ample street parking and extended stayers (or by request) are welcome to use laundry facilities downstairs.

Guest access

The entire top floor of the house which includes living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, front yard and covered porch (with swing!) and for extended stays only, also the laundry room downstairs.

Interaction with guests

My apartment is in the basement, so I'm generally available for questions as well as always available by text. I respect people's privacy, however, so the amount of interaction will be up to you.

Other things to note

Our house is a safe haven for people of all colors, cultures and lifestyles. We are quiet folks, tho--and since we live downstairs, noisy partiers are invited to stay elsewhere :)
There's a cat and two dogs on the premises. They are not in your space unless you utilize the back yard. In that case, they are super friendly and your furry friends are absolutely welcome!

A great little house for our Portland stay. Close to town, well-equipped kitchen and very friendly hosts. Loved the doggies and Deanna's treats so thoughtful.

Deana's home is a lovely bungalow with ample space for guests. There's plenty of street parking and a park a block or so down the hill for kids. We spent a lot of time in the Sellwood area and this home is a convenient drive to Oaks Bottoms Amusement Park, OMSI, and various other attractions. There's no door to separate the upstairs and downstairs, but Deana gave us plenty of privacy.

Overall Deana's home was just as she described. Very cute ,nice kitchen ,good neighborhood ,great location. A nice touch was that she did leave coffee and pastries for us which was very much appreciated. Deana did state in her description of her home that she did have two dogs and one cat on the property but would not be staying in the home in which we occupy .which I was OK with. I have a dog myself and am a pet lover. The problems I had were ,there was a lot of pet hair in the cushions of the couch which came out onto your clothing when you sat down on the couches .I did try to use the vacuum to pick up all the pet hair , but there was a lot and I could not get it all out, also the vacuum smelled of pet odor, which after I used It I had to set out on the front porch until the smell went away . Also the guest blankets and the towels did not smell fresh and clean . Other than that the host was very nice and accommodating. The house was very cute .
