Where you’ll be

Schaerbeek, Bruxelles, Belgium

Situated in a nice, quiet, neighbourhood, you are roughly 20 minutes by car from the centre of Brussels. We are well situated with bars, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby.
The market on Friday is at “Place des Chasseurs Ardennais”. It’s a pleasant cosmopolitan atmosphere, with plenty of Asian, Moroccan and African cuisines available.
Bar “1030” has a live concert on Thursday or Friday – you can enjoy an organic fruit juice or a local beer there. La Buvette in the Parc Josaphat, at the top of the park, offers themed dinners on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. La Laiterie is a new restaurant right in the heart of Parc Josaphat.
My neighbourhood is only 15 to 20 minutes by car from almost everything. If you want to visit the centre of Brussels and see the Grand Place, there is a direct bus 50 metres from the house. The Avenue Louise shopping area is only 10 to 15 minutes away. If you want to visit the Heysel area (large cinema complex and the Atomium – Expo ’58), take tram 7 will take you there … the stop is only 400 metres from the house. Tram 25 goes to and from the Gare du Nord, while bus 65 goes to/from the Brussels Central Station and Metro Madou (for the Gare du Midi).

The nearest major train station is Gare du Nord.
You are close to Place Meiser and next to Place des Bienfaiteurs (name of the bus stop for bus 65, and trams 25 and 62).
TRAMS (62-25-7).
65 is a direct bus to Central Station and Grand Place.
66 is a direct bus to Place De Brouckère in the heart of the city
Bus 12 and 21 go to the airport.

To discover your best train itinerary: sncb.be
You are but 15 to 20 minutes from the airport by taxi, and 10 to 15 minutes from NATO with tram 62.
