Yennis and her entire family were so awsome. Although my friend and I spoke little Spanish we were still about to communicate with them. Yenny picked us up from the airport upon our arrival for 30 CUC which was awsome because we had no clue just arriving there. Her home is in a great location. A couple of blocks from the taxis and bars and restaurants, el parque de central ( 5 minutes walk), it is also close to El Capitulo. She introduced us to her family who were also very welcoming. The room was very clean and looked newly remodeled. She also help us exchange our money ( I suggest you change from Euros to CUC to get a better deal than changing from dollars). Her sister Jackie prepared a hearty breakfast for us everyday for 5CUC which basically held us till dinner. They have a menu you can pick from and you can't tell her exactly what you want. There's also a fridge in the room (mini bar style) stocked with water and drinks cheaper than getting them outside. They offered room service for free every day, cleaning the room and bathroom and giving us fresh towels daily. For 5CUC her tia also did our laundry. Her brother Ernesto was kind enough to take us around on the first night and also escorted us to the taxis at night. She also arranged for a family friend to drive us to the beaches and bring us back. He even took us to Varadero beach which is 2 hours away for way less than the taxis would've cost us. She also took us back to the airport and waited till we were ok to go. Overall I would highly recommend her place to anyone who isn't familiar with the area and/or Spanish. Just be prepared for lots of hugs and kisses and them basically adopting you as part of their family!
