The cabin is located by Tinnsjøen lake with parking right beside it. It is 6 kilometers from Mæl ferry rental in the direction of Atrå. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun.

There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host.


Rowing boat is available for free. Outboard motor 1-3 days NOK 400,-

Shower and WC at guests' disposal in the host's house. During summer, one can walk through the apple orchard by the host's house, but in winter one must use the road, and it is 400 meters. WiFi is also available from the host.

Where you’ll be

Tinn, Vestfold og Telemark, Norway

Natural surroundings. Quiet. The farm has had cows and pigs and goats. Now we only have a few sheep and two cats. In the autumn we set out nets, and in the summer we try our luck with a fishing line from a boat. There are trout and Arctic char in the lake. On the neighbouring farm there are highland cattle. From Atrå, 6 km from here, there are three roads up to the mountain. You can also walk in the woods on site here.
If you want to go to a café, you have to drive to Mæl inn or Sandviken camping in Austbygda. In Austbygda there is also a charming restaurant called Eldhuset.
