Calm and convenient location

This area is easy to get around.
This rustic New Mexican style casita (backhouse) offers a private kitchen, living/bedroom, bathroom and patio. It features a new (2025) air conditioner, natural light and is an easy walk through historic neighborhoods to Old Town, Downtown, West-Downtown & Sawmill District. I am always more than happy to give suggestions for places in walking distance, as well as local sites around the city worth checking out. I absolutely adore Albuquerque and love to show it off - let me help you love it too!

The space
We are close to many local gems - museums, breweries, shopping, historical sites, parks, and more! Great food, baked goods (biscochitos!), coffee and groceries - all within less than a quarter mile.

With a private guest entrance through the alley way, your casita boasts natural light and beautiful Saltillo tile floors throughout.

Kitchen features a full size fridge, microwave, range/oven, coffee maker & all the necessary accessories.

In the bedroom you will find a queen size bed, a brand new mini-split air conditioner/heater, wooden dresser and clothes rack, a small dining table / desk with two chairs, a full size mirror, a reclining chair and a TV equipped with Netflix, Peacock and Hulu for guest streaming. Other apps available for use with your own account.

Flagstone patio offers an outdoor dining space to enjoy meals crafted in the fully functional kitchen.

Guest access
The casita is easily accessible from the alleyway behind the house. There is a lockable double gate into the private yard.

Other things to note
Don't mind the dog, Lala. She will bark at the turquoise gate if she hears you coming/going. She takes her guard dog responsibilities seriously and is gracious enough to do the job free of charge.

She does not have access to your private patio space.

Neighbourhood highlights

We are very close to historic Old Town, less than a 10 minute walk. Just around the corner are several delicious cafes and a little further down the road you'll find multiple local breweries. Historic Tiguex (pronounced "tee-way") Park is a 5 minute walk, and across the street from there you'll find Explora, an interactive science museum, as well as the Museum of Natural History and Science and the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History. We are also within a mile of the Paseo del Bosque Trail along the Rio Grande, and a mile and a half from the ABQ BioPark (zoo, aquarium and botanical gardens).
