We stayed at Karen's place for our anniversary. After looking for somewhere that was equal parts secluded but close enough to things to do like New Haven, we booked here. Karen was very responsive and detailed with communicating and the space was super warm and welcoming. Nothing beats waking up in the morning and hearing the ocean in the distance! Not to mention The Sandpiper being a few steps away. All in all, a great value, super host and it just feels like home.

The Cosy Beach cottage has a beautiful name. While we found it to be very clean, the bedding accommodations were much less than we bargained for. Two thin mattresses on the floor are not recommended if you have bad knees or a bad back. The stairwell was a bit tricky, with a railing on one side-the one near the wall, the outside offered no protection where it was needed. There are minimal amenities(URL HIDDEN) On the plus side, you do have a beautiful view of the ocean from the master bedroom, and there is a nice park at the end of the street. If you are looking strictly for a beach stay with the kids, then this place is perfect.

Hi Iryna, I have since updated the beds in both bedrooms so that they now have bed frames and box springs. Thanks for your feedback.

Great spot for a vacation. Perfect getaway spot. Very rustic and boho look, me and my wife enjoyed every second of being here. Also communication with Karen was always smooth

This is a great hide away just across the street from the beach. Karen was wonderful- very responsive and great communication before arriving. No complaints at all about our stay, but just a few things to note for those looking in the future (although all fairly represented in the photos)! Beds are on the floor and are soft- may not be great for anyone with back issues. No TV at this time, but wifi password provided and easy to stream from personal devices (and here to be outdoors anyhow!) And lastly- may not be a great place for people who are not dog lovers- neighbors were very friendly and polite, but have a large dog with a hefty bark that could scare kids or adults who aren't dog lovers. Otherwise its a great little escape and had a great time. Thanks Karen!

Thanks for the feedback Colleen! I'm getting bed frames soon, the house was a new purchase in the spring, and I have just been looking for the right bed frames for the rooms :) In terms of TV, I don't have plans to install one in the house, so it may be best if guests bring laptops and use the wifi for viewing.

East Haven is a delightful town, the public beach has everything a family could want. Great food in and around the area as well as interesting history of the trolleys and pink granite mined from there. Karen's house was as described with great up dates on all appliances. She was most understanding in regard to our arrival time. She also left all kinds of good teas. So nice.
