Welcome! I am located in the adorable Poplar Grove neighborhood which is just a few minutes from the Downtown, LDS Temple, I-80, 215, I-15 freeways, and the airport!
Our cute home is very peaceful and ideal for those wanting to visit Salt Lake. Your private room comes with necessities such as toiletries you might have left at home and detergent to do any laundry you might need. The room is located up a very small staircase so it is not ideal for those unable to climb stairs.
The location is the perfect balance for those wanting to explore all that Salt Lake has to offer or for solo and business travelers. If you don't have a car, the 516 city bus picks up right around the corner and takes you downtown. Uber/Lyft are an inexpensive ($5-10) option for many guests, since my home so close to SLC & downtown. There is also ample street parking right in front of the house.
The room is brightly lit and we like to foster similar feelings of peace and comfort. We hope you enjoy your time in Utah!
You are free use the kitchen and living areas. If you drink coffee, feel free to enjoy having coffee in the morning, either in a mug or to go.
Interaction with guests
I am very flexible to interactions with my guests. I work from home and can be available most of the time for any needs the guests might have. My roommate and I are happy to leave you alone if you prefer to keep to yourself or give recommendations on the local scene downtown. Our house tends to be a bit more quiet in the mornings but we are friendly and open to chat about whatever over coffee. In the evenings we enjoy a glass a wine or a beer and just hang out at home most nights. Arnold the cat is not very social, he is a rare sighting with guests. My roommate and I are personable and enjoying hosting in our home.
Guests are welcome to use anything in the kitchen but please clean up after yourself.
Guests may also do laundry at the house but they are expected to keep an eye on it and rotate their laundry when it is completed.
I am a young working professional who works from home. I recently bought my first home just over a year ago. I love baking and look forward to sharing treats with guests. My favorite books are Atlas Shrugged and The Four Agreements. I travel to Montana and St. George frequently throughout the year. Doing hair for friends and acquaintances is a hobby of mine. I also used to work in a salon. I love meeting new people and hearing their story.
