Beautiful traditional house. We stayed in one of the traditional rooms with tatami and futon and the bed was comfortable. The hostess was lovely, very sweet and chatty and brought us up some tea when we arrived. We found it a little hard to find so get clear directions - luckily a local guided is there. It's an uphill trek from the station but I managed it with my backpack and I'm highly unfit! Very pleasant stay, would recommend.

Yoko is an absolutely wonderful host and her house and surrounding area are very charming. It is a bit of a hike but it's worth it. House is very clean and inviting and Yoko is delightful. I hope to visit again one day.

Yoko's place is a traditional Japanese house in the hills of Onomichi with several guest rooms upstairs. Our room had futon mats for sleeping and an AC. There were two restrooms with old-fashioned toilets and one shower room. You can walk in 5 to 10 minutes to the train station and city center. Yoko was a wonderful host - especially when we had to stay inside for a day due to a typhoon. She also gave helpful tips where to go in Onomichi (especially the excellent bakery Panya Koro).

Very cosy house where Yoko, the host lives her self. It was a true Japanese experience, and Yoko is super. The house is located on the hill. It is very close to the station but the walk there is quite steep, yet fantastic, and I guess one of the main attractions of Onomichi.

Yoko was absolutely delightful! Very helpful, attentive, and compassionate! She is very good at maintaining communication when she needs to tell you something or if you need help with something. She alone is enough to want to stay here! However, the house is great too! It's small with a nice old feel to it! Even has an old rotary phone to go along with it. It's built up into the side of a hill looking over the city which makes for a nice view and very quiet nights. Also the cherry on top is that there is A/C in all the rooms as well as very good internet! I really enjoyed my time. Thank you so much Yoko!
