Newly furnished room in older apartment building on the third floor in Inman Square, Cambridge. This room is equipped with new furniture and luxurious name-brand bedding. Large closet with hangers and a comfy reading chair provided. Kitchen was recently renovated with new stainless steel appliances. Apartment is centrally located between Kendall Square and Harvard Square. Located .6 miles from Central Square where you can take the Red Line directly to MIT, Harvard, or Downtown Boston.

The space

This is a great place to stay if you are looking at colleges in the Boston or Cambridge area, visiting someone in college, visiting historical sites in Cambridge and Boston, or just interested in hanging out in one of the fastest growing real estate areas in the country! The closet grocery store (Whole Foods) is an 8 minute walk away. In the warmer months, there is an outdoor sitting area that is solely available to other Airbnb guests. This is a private area, protected by a tall wooden fence, that offers a little oasis in the heat.

Guest access

You have full access to a shared bathroom and kitchen which includes a small seating area, microwave, stove, toaster, refrigerator, and all the silverware, cookery, and plates necessary for preparing full meals. The kitchen has been newly renovated with all stainless steel appliances and a new stove! There is on-street parking available in front of the apartment on a first come first serve basis.

Interaction with guests

I live in the apartment around the corner, but in the same building, as where you will be staying. I am typically available to greet you and walk you through the apartment, depending on the time of your arrival. I will be in contact with you via Airbnb messenger for anything you need throughout your stay. There is one additional room in the apartment which is currently rented to a tenant (Carlton) and his puppy (Cody).

Other things to note

This is an old building in which I rent a few apartments; I am not responsible for the care of the building but solely in charge of the apartment itself. The walls are thin and on weekend nights you might be able to hear people going up and down the stairs. Please be advised that although the door functions properly, this room does not offer the amenity of a lock.

The place is reasonably well-located near Inman Square and a 10-15 minute walk from the Central Square bus and subway stops. It's on older, apparently unrenovated Victorian building and shows its age. If you decide to stay here, make sure to bring a flashlight if you're coming in the dark in order to see the numbers on the lockbox. An insect repellant, if you don't like fleas, is also advisable. That said, the bedroom and bathroom are fine, if you don't mind a little "company."

Response from Megan:
Hi Charles, Thank you for notifying me that the light bulb needs to be replaced. Why did you not mention the issue of "fleas" during your stay? I would have addressed it immediately. Instead, you did not respond to or message me throughout your stay. Also, are you thinking of "fruit flies" which are considerably different from "fleas"? I will look into it but as an Airbnb host, I would expect you to be more communicative and also more polite.

Megan's place is in a great location a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway stop as well as extremely close to both the MIT and Harvard campuses. The check in process was simple and Megan was extremely responsive whenever we needed her. Definitely recommend this place if you're up in Boston!

Meghan was very easy to communicate. The neighborhood is quiet but with a great selection of restaurants in a block distance. The stay was great and very convenient.

The room was as advertised -- nice location, nice apartment. The neighbors were quiet, and the neighborhood was only a short walk from public transit, etc.

It's a nice place to live. The living place is really comfortable, quiet and really clean! Also, the neighbors are nice to us. They have a dog named Codey and it's a smart dog! He won't bite or attack people. It takes 10 minutes walk to the subway station (red line). It's good to choose Megan's place to live in.
