Ericùssa has two independent rooms and two terraces with views of the sea and Salina. Bedroom with large double bed (can be split into 2 singles), bathroom with shower. Ericussa is part of a complex of houses of various types (we call Borgo San Gaetano), located at the bottom of the village of Acquacalda di Lipari, north of the island and overlooks one of its most beautiful beaches.
Here there is still an authentic atmosphere, as Acquacalda has maintained the original structure of the mining village (even after the closure of the pumice quarries, solicited by UNESCO, to safeguard the landscape value of the obsidian flow, unique in the world). The village is spread along a beautiful beach of pebbles and volcanic sand with exposure to the north (then ventilated) that looks at the islands of Panarea and Stromboli and to the west, so you can enjoy the sea and the sun until its sunset behind the island of Salina. Acquacalda is also characterized by a particular tranquility, even during the high season. The houses have the advantage and the convenience of being a few steps from the beach, which is free under the houses, while at the beginning of the village there are some equipped beaches.
Acquacalda is about 9 km from the port, from where the ferries and hydrofoils to and from other islands leave and arrive.
Acquacalda is connected to Lipari by a bus line (stop 200 meters from the house) which stops at all the main beaches and at most all the supermarkets on the island. The races have an average frequency of about every hour. During the summer season the races are more frequent.
In the village of Acquacalda there are 4 restaurants / pizzeria and 2 bars. The nearest grocery stores as well as other services (pharmacy, bank, post office) are located 5 km from Acquacalda. The supermarkets offer home deliveries, as well as the baker. At Acquacalda we have a small emporium with the resale of basic necessities.
In Lipari if you want you can take advantage of taxi service and you can rent scooters and cars as well as boats of various kinds with or without skipper.

After years spent in different European countries, I have always returned here with my family. With relatives and friends, we created Borgo San Gaetano in Acquacalda, a retreat surrounded by greenery and overlooking the sea. I live in Milan, but this special place continues to be my home in my heart.
