This is a large 5 bedroom Victorian property in a quiet area of the city centre surrounded but the Ancient City Walls.
This is a friendly, warm and comfortable home and judging by the many positive reviews, our guests love staying here.
I live here with my 16 year old daughter and we have a number of our rooms on Airbnb so you are likely to meet other guests during your stay with us.

The space
The Attic Room is a lovely big room in our large 5 bedroom terraced house very close to the centre of York.
There are views of the city wall from the room as it's right outside the house. The city wall also protects the house from city and traffic noise.
The bedroom is on the 2nd floor, so it is up 2 flights of stairs with our 2 bathrooms being on the 1st floor. The room has a a comfortable double bed, tea and coffee making, a table and chairs and a set of drawers. You will get your own set of keys so you can lock your bedroom door and come and go as you please.
The bedroom is clean with fresh bedding and bath towels provided.

Guest access
YOUR ROOM is yours during your stay.

THE KITCHEN is available for you if you want to cook and you're welcome to store food in the cupboards or fridge.

THE LIVING ROOM is a nice place to relax and chat to me or other guests staying here.

PLEASE NOTE as this is also our private space the kitchen and living room are available from 8:30am till 9pm only.

WASHING MACHINE. You are welcome to use our washing machine and dryer.

SMALL OUTSIDE COURTYARD. Great in the summer and is available for outside dining, smoking or storing your bike

We prioritise giving this to guests staying 2 nights or more. Overnight parking is available at Nunnery lane Car Park (a few minutes walk from our place)
The 24 a hour carpark is only 5 minutes walk away and has 193 spaces. Costs £13 for the whole day

This is a quiet residential neighbourhood called Bishophil which is a short 10 minute walk from the city centre as well as a 5 minute walk to the now famous 'Bishy road', our local shopping street with great cafe's, grocery shops, deli's and restaurants (Bishy road was named Britain best high street in 2015)

LoveYork is the company I started because I love York and enjoy hosting people from all over the world. Incredibly, we have now hosted over 10 000 guests at several properties across the city at 1 bed flats, 3 & 5 bed properties as well as my home inside the city walls, 3 boats including a luxury houseboat and shepherd's hut! Luckily I now have a small team helping me manage things although I am still very hands on and love meeting my guests personally and recommending the best places in York wherever I can. I was born in the Netherlands, but have lived in South Africa, Japan and New Zealand. After travelling around the world I eventually settled in the UK and ended up in York where I have lived for around 10 years now. My name is pronounced 'Yella'.
