Lovely place to stay, basic accommodation, cooking, outside shower and eco friendly outside toilet. Everything you need for a relaxing couple of days, good WiFi and friendly host who made sure we had everything we wanted :-)

If you're up for a completely stripped back chilled stay, this is the place! Set in beautiful orchards and gardens, this little gem was great! The outside composting toilet and shower were a new experience for us, one that we loved- showering in the wilderness is so liberating! Jan is the perfect host, treating us well while we stayed, and helped us out when we turned up after the sea washed over all our stuff (including my cameras)! Would love to stay again

Camp koo is pretty special, it is very secluded and with a magic outdoor shower with passion fruit climbing all over it. Inside it is cosy with a comfortable bed and other amenities. Jan provided a lot of lovely food including some things she had got specially for us because we are vegan, which was lovely. It was a bit noisy at night with dogs barking but otherwise we had a brilliant stay.

This place is certainly different and we loved staying there. Jan was a lovely host and treated us (after asking) to a blast of opera, fantastic. Very private and basic in the plumbing but great fun. Thanks for the adventure Jan

The little bach was really cute and we loved staying there. It was nice to cook in the BBQ and enjoy the peacefulness and privacy. Even though it was very simple, it was perfect. We enjoyed the nice outdoor shower and we didn't even mind the composting toilet. Jan was lovely and we had everything we needed.

This was actually my second visit to Campkoo and Jan welcomed me back like a family member and also welcomed my friend Sara who came to stay with me too on our way to other travels . I had a lovely peaceful stay again and enjoyed exploring the area nearby and the Bay of Islands. Campkoo is a wonderful place and I was so lucky to be able to stay and visit twice .
