Apartment for 2 or 4 people in the historic center of Naples, consisting of two rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen. Strategic location for the city sightseeing, as you’ll already be at the center, and 5 minutes walk from the two metro lines, from Cumana railway, and Funiculare.

The space

The VicoLetto is a cozy apartment in the historic center of Naples, 20 meters from Piazza Carità and Via Roma (also called Via Toledo).
It’s a space of 50 square meters, consisting of a kitchen, a bathroom, two balconies and two rooms. The former is a living room, furnished with a TV, a hi-fi system, and a large sofa, that converts to a double bed if needed. The latter is a very spacious room with matrimonial bed and a wardrobe to store your clothes and stuff. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, an hoven, a kettle and all the crockery and cookware that you would find in you own home. The bathroom has a bath, equipped with a shower too, and the washing machine.
For your stay you will find bed linen and towels.
As you can see from the pictures, the apartment is furnished in a mix of modern and ancient style, as often happens in Italy, joining modern design furniture with traditional one inherited from generation to generation in our families. Even being a few meters away Via Toledo, one of most chic street in Naples, the apartment location will make you experiencing the real Neapolitan life, with its sounds, its music, its colors and the typical hospitality of the neighbors.
Nearby you can find everything: supermarkets, a pharmacy, a tabaccaio, shops, bookstores, and tens of pizzerias ... almost everything! Even the famous market “Pigna Secca” where you can take amazing pictures of fishmongers and greengrocers, screaming while promoting their products.
In addition to independence (the apartment will be completely yours, as I live in another one) what you will enjoy more is the centrality: you can visit the historical center on foot, in 10 minutes you can be at the National Museum, in 15 at the ferry boat to Capri, in 20min you reach by funicolare the top hill of Naples where there is the best view, and with 2 metro stops you’ll be at the Central Station to catch the train to Pompeii.
Just try it!
Since December 2016 I transferred the announce management to my daughters Antigone and Zelda, with whom I share the management of the house: there don't be surprised if you find reviews on me, but Zelda will respond to your requests.

Paola'a apartment is in a great location, close to Toledo train station which is only a few stops from stazione centrale. Furthermore, Toledo itself has many great places to eat and is close to the beach. The house itself was clean and Paola's mother was there in arrival to provide us with advice about what to do in Naples and helped us with understanding how to get to places such as Pompeii and the amalfi coast. Both Paola and her mother were available on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) if we had any issues. Overall, I have no complaints and would stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying at Zelda's apartment and Naples. Zelda was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the area. It's not the easiest place to find but once there you are very comfortable, close to transport and lots to of places to eat. We felt very safe whilst visiting.

This is a charming wee place on the edge of the historic-center with several very nice touches.

Our stay at Paola's apartment was great. The apartment is exactly as described. It is in a really central location and if you are able to walk around all of the main city sites are within walking distance. It will soon become your home from home. Paola was a charming host and kept in touch with us well, both before and during our stay, even though she was on holiday while we were there. Her daughter Zelda welcomed us and provided us with all of the information we needed for our stay. You are just behind the Via Toledo, with its shops and cafes, the historic central area is all around you. Staying at Paola's made us feel part of Neapolitan life, shopping in small corner shops that seem to sell everything and seeing the local churches parade their Saints through the street with the children dressed in white and local bands following behind is something that money cannot buy. There are steps up to the apartment and it is on the second floor, if this is a concern for you. You will also need to look out for motorbikes, but this is true for the whole of Naples. They seem frightening at first, but you soon get used to them.

Paula was a great host. She gave a fantastic summary of what to do in Naples. She recommended sights to see and places to eat. The unit was perfect. Exactly as it is shown in the photos. Location was very good.

The apartment is really well located, it’s in the Spanish Quarter so feels very authentically Neapolitan; it’s also very close to the Centro Storico and is walking distance to the seafront/port and the Garibaldi train station for routes to Pompeii/Vesuvius/Herculaneum etc. It is just off Via Toledo, a huge and somewhat chaotic street full of people and shops. The apartment is really clean and Paola is a fantastic hostess. She met us at the apartment on arrival, having provided guidance on taxis beforehand to help us get there. She introduced us to the city with a helpful map and some places to eat she recommends, and was really friendly and helpful answering all our questions. The only downside is the neighbourhood is quite noisy and busy, there are a lot of people around at all hours and the constant buzz of mopeds is hard to miss. That is normal for central Naples so hopefully won’t come as a big surprise to you but if you’re after a relaxing/calm neighbourhood to stay in this apartment may not be for you!
