In the kitchen you've got your very own shelves in the fridge, freezer, and pantry. And please, use the French press if you're into coffee. I've usually got a decent brand stocked or bring your own. If you give me a heads up, I will buy your type of milk.
You're welcome to use the washer and dryer and the Tide detergent. There is also always a Bounce Bar in the dryer.
The home is a typical ranch-style house, with wood floors in living area, tile in kitchen and bathroom, and carpet in bedrooms. The living room and the entry hall separate the guest room/bath and master suite. There is a porch with chairs, and a couple of ashtrays, which overlooks my back yard with beautiful trees and wild grass and flowers. When the weather is nice there is a hammock to lie around.
The kitchen is modern and equipped with new stainless steel appliances, filtered water, ice maker, and a coffeemaker.
I Wi-Fi Internet and HD cable TV, so you're free to surf and watch TV, use the DVD player, or Wi-Fi to stream your Netflix.
The music room has a 1950 upright piano, 2 acoustic guitars, and an Ukulele. I collect photo books and old cameras which are for your enjoyment while you are here.
Interaction with guests
I am a professional photographer in Austin, TX, and a resident since 2002. I really enjoy the live-music scene and try to see music weekly. I love karaoke, playing pool, dancing, and hanging out with my dog. Currently, I work from home on days I don't have a photo gig, so I'm sometimes available to you as a resource to this wonderful city. If I'm free, I love showing people around this awesome town I call home. My work makes it impossible to have a set schedule, but I do love doing hill country photo trips. I love give pointers and tips I've picked up in my over 15 years experience as a photographer.
As a host, I can give you recommendations and I can leave you to your own devices. You will have your own key and can definitely come and go as you please: early, late, whenever, as long as you're not slamming a door, that's fine with me.
Other things to note
I take great pride in sharing my home with my guests even before joining AirBnB. I want you to be comfortable and enjoy yourself. The room is cleaned between guests: I wipe and spray everything, wash all the bed linens and towels, dust and vacuum, disinfect everything in the bathroom. The kitchen and living room are equally cared for majority of the time. (Just don't look in my bedroom or garage).
About you: Please, if you are a first-time Airbnb user or do not yet have any reviews, tell me about yourself when you inquire about the room. Also, I will not rent to anyone who is not verified with his or her state ID and/ or does not have a photo posted. I live here so I'd like to know a little about the people that come stay here. If you give me enough notice, I can have your favorite booze waiting for you. Welcome to airbnb.com and I look forward to hosting you!
Things to think about before sending an inquiry...
During longer stays, no one that works from home.
Remember you are a guest, not a roommate.
Do not use my address to receive mail, please.

Freelance Photographer working mostly on TV & Film productions, but love shooting documentary subjects like bands and Texas Rollergirls.
I moved to Austin in 2002 for grad school and fell in love with this place. I know the music scene and bar scene pretty well, so feel free to ask for advice on cool things to do in town.
Love singing and dancing. Not great at either, but I'm sure I was an entertainer in a past life. Can't get enough Karaoke.
I love to take long road trips visiting friends and new places. So I appreciate guest just needing a homey place to crash for the night. I also dream of getting to work on a production out of state for month or two. So I enjoy the idea of long stays in a house not a hotel, I dig having long stay guest as well.
I'm addicted to Crime Dramas and love almost any type of music as long as it's quality.
