Hi, I'm Joe! My family rebuilt this Creole Cottage post-Katrina. With 3 bedrooms, and 2 private baths, it comfortably sleeps 6 (please msg for additional ppl). Located in the recovering Lafitte/Treme neighborhood, you are a short mile to the French Quarter, Louis Armstrong park, & more! This home is a diamond in the rough and we can't wait to introduce you to the rebirth of Treme. Skip the rental: About $33 Uber from MSY airport and $5-7 Uber to French Quarter.

3 night min for festival events.

The space

Nola is all about being outside and taking it easy! After you're done with the brass bands, hurricanes, and delilcious food--come rest easy at this retreat. This home is a diamond in the rough--you will be greeted with a living den and upgraded kitchen. There is plenty of soul in this space with warm wood floors and salvaged Katrina wood features throughout.

The Master Suite features a plush king bed, a TV, walk-in closet, and private bath w/ jacuzzi tub.

A second room is furnished with two twin beds, and a TV to lounge.

The third bedroom features a queen bed with quality linens and a TV.

Wifi included in your stay. New washer & dryer in-unit!

Guest access

Guests generally enjoy the entire unit, but please be respectful of the tenant in houses surrounding the home. There is a side door in the home--please be mindful to keep this locked and use as emergency exit only. Please be considerate when parking--in Nola, you generally park in front of your own home.

Treme is alive! I had the best fried oyster poboy, some beignets, and a lot of southern hospitality. Check in was easy--Joe's son showed me the code to get in and some of the little quirks (you need to twist both knobs to enter). The inside is gorgeous and I felt as if I was enveloped in lots of thought & detail. I love the natural wood everywhere!!! The beds were comfy. Little pops of color & vibes everywhere if you're a travel IG'er. Oh yeah, and Joe's fam left us a bottle of champagne--so sweet! Thank you for the stepping stool in the kitchen! I'm a shawty and needed it to reach everything--very thoughtful of you. Short people take note not to jump out of that bath tub lol. It's high. I will also say, the neighborhood is clearly recovering like Joe mentioned in his blurb, but it made me even happier to support the rise of Treme. One night the neighbors were out playing dominoes and I saw other neighbors come to join. They were friendly and welcoming. There's an art gallery on the corner that looked interesting, but we didn't make it in. The weather was balmy & warm, but lots of rain so I ended up taking a Lyft to French quarter which was cheap! I still haven't really found the word for the NOLA vibe--kind of a dark, sultry, soulful energy with flashes of loud music and smothered in comfort food. We randomly ducked into a hotel bar for jazz and ran into a famous scat singer. Everyone is laid back and goes at their own pace. You will be called baby by every woman you meet. NOLA, I'll be back. Thank you, Joe & family, for the hospitality and the perfect window into NOLA
