Hunting season is in full swing: be comfortable in a remodeled 100 year-old rustic cabin in glorious, scenic&secluded one-of-a kind setting on Warm Springs Crk just minutes to the hot springs. Enjoy modern conveniences (Full kitchen, WIFI/wifi cell, TWO toilets (incinerating & pissoir) while living in the past! So close to the water you can fish from the back door, but as such WE DON'T HAVE RUNNING WATER! Only 20 mins from 5 Star food/amenities in SV, yet BIG GAME right out your back door.
PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU DESIRE ONE NIGHT OPEN BETWEEN BOOKINGS. In reality, running water is way overrated. Living at the cabin for years, I've developed a simple system that makes it homey and comfortable without being too inconvenient. In addition, it's educational to realize how little water one person (or family) truly needs to exist: an Enlightening and Fulfilling Adventure. BTW: Incinerating toilet (The Inshiterator) is for solids, the Pissoir, an antique 19th Century commode, is for liquids: again, this is a Blast from the Past. The 2 beds in the bedroom are actually one queen downstairs and a Double in the loft above, which is open to the bedroom on the E side, so visually separated but not sound proof. As well, in the common space (the "old" cabin) there is a futon bed (double) and I can also set-up a comfy old-school cot (single.) PS: I also supply the drinking/cooking water.
You get the entire cabin (and The Great Outdoors) all to yourself. Hiking, fishing, biking, swimming, floating the river (carefully), Frenchman's Hot Springs (2 miles/5 minutes away), and all that Sun Valley has to offer is right outside your cabin door. Please enjoy an experience that you will never forget.
Interaction with guests
You might run into me upon arrival and/or departure, since I stay at the cabin when it's not rented...I also like to meet my guests (if I can) to give them the "rundown" on the place: this is NOT your typical rental. Additionally, I'm always available by phone/text and email.
Other things to note
Very private and secluded, at the end of a dead-end lane, so no one driving by (if there even happens to be anybody else in the neighborhood). Besides a plethora of mountain songbirds, enjoy the other animals including Herman the Ermine who lives across the stream, Mother Duck and her brood who swim upstream in the morning, back downstream in the afternoon, and Funny Bunny who has a residence near by. Deer, elk, moose, and beaver are just some of the "attractions". This is an excellent place for children (and infants are probably OK) but due to the proximity to flowing water I would NOT recommend bringing toddlers or anyone (thing) you might not be able to keep track of. Also, no pets: I have yet to meet a dog who doesn't like to chase down furry creatures...and they were here first. Unfortunately bringing your dog will minimize your wildlife experience, as all of the neighbors will go into hiding.
Re: children. Although this place is fantastic for kids (I brought up my two boys here) safety is my main concern. This recommendation depends on the child: up to 1+ OK, but once they start getting self motivated and mobile (ie, start walking) up until they have enough self awareness/self preservation and can obey instructions to stay away from the water's edge (roughly age 5 or 6?) then I'd leave them with Grandma and enjoy a much needed romantic week away from it all.

Pilot and serial entrepreneur. Having fun is more fun than work, but if I don't work fun is not as fun. That said, I'm happiest when my work involves other people and working with them. Life is a you'd better be on the rocket!
