The Modern & Recycled Guest House (MoRe) is unique, it was built from scratch and combines recycled (made by us) materials with modern pieces. Located right in the heart of the quiet and beautiful town of Machico, its about 50 meters from the beach, door to door with great restaurants.The Airport 5 minutes away. The Route 66 Room is a very big space with private bathroom, couch and cable tv. You have a kitchen (with everthing you need) and a balcony that you can share with other guests.

The space
This is a unique guest house, its a family project (a dream) that was possible with hard work and dedication. We are a family that like to meet people from all over the world, you will be very welcome here. The location is perfect door to door with the best restaurants in Machico and Madeira. One minute walk and you are in the beach (sandy and Rocky), the airport is 5 minutes drive, the bus station is 5 minutes walk. if you like levadas/hiking you are in the right place (what more could you want?). All the rooms in this guest house haved story linked to us :) The Route 66 Room is all about our passion for motorcycles. Today my father restores old motorcycles (it´s his hobby) such as Thriumph, BSA, Norton so on, i Grew up with bikes all around me, and i like to ride them :) Hope that you have fun here.

Machico is a very calm city, It was in this bay that Tristão Vaz Teixeira, João Gonçalves Zarco e Bartolomeu Dias entered when they discovered Our Beautifull Madeira Island. Locals are very welcome and easy to communicate, because almost everyone speaks at least English. we have many things going on here: Gastronomic fair mid-august; 16th Century Market mid-june; Motorcycle Day - April; Madeira Ultra trail (MIUT) April; Enduro world Series midle - May; Fachos (Unique traditional event) August; Lord of the miracles celebration - october. And much more!!

I was born in Madeira and after spending 8 years in Lisbon, where i got a Master in clinical Psychology and a Graduation in Leadership and Development Teams, i´ve decided to come back to my roots and in good time i did it! Even thought i like to travel and do it as much and as often as i can, i just love my island and can never get enought of it. I´m a quiet person, but always looking for something to do on my spare time. I like reading, travelling, watching movies, walking my dogs, do sports or just relaxing. I love hiking and have a real passion for Levada Walks! you have great levadas near Machico and all around where you can go for a walk and enjoy nature and great places. Madeira is truly a nature´s paradise. You can walk around lakes, visit stunning gardens, swim in amazing natural pools and several beaches (sandy or rocky, your choice) around the island. You can go on a Dolphin and whale watching tour, walk in the middle of the woods for bird watching, geocaching and hiking, discovering waterfalls, try cannyoning or just relax surrounded by breathtaking views. The weather is very unpredictable, never to cold, never too hot. please bring a rain coat and be ready to chase the rainbows. Prepare yourself to have all the four seasons in one day! After booking, you will be given suggestions of places to go and activities to do. Some of my friends have boogie schools, a cannyoning company provide whale and dolphin watching tours and scuba diving. If you want to book any of those, we can easily arrange that for you. I assure i will do my best to help you have a great stay in my paradise island and remember Madeira as an amazing experience! Looking forward to meeting you, i hope to see you soon.
