Mountain view

Soak up the view during your stay.
Stay in our Wild Mustang Native American Tipi, nested in pristine forest next to the Winema National Forest. We have miles of hiking trails. Amazing beauty of Pelican Butte Mts, Agency Lake in the distance, down the road 26 miles to Crater Lake. Come have the experience a unique place. WE practice safe distancing and all required cleaning/sanitizing requirements. And we and our staff have had vaccinations. Safety and beauty. NOTE: This year there is NO OUTSIDE BURNING-drought

The space
Each tipi is clearly marked and room for 4 campers (5 if a child, please let us know) our picnic table and fire pit, NO OUTSIDE BURNING. There is also a firepit inside, with a little table for a lantern so you can see at night. There are a couple of porta potties (very clean) and an on-demand hot water shower that all sites share. There are hiking trails on our 250 acre ranch that run beside the Winema National forest. Lots of birds and beauty. We have a small gallery on our property showing our work (furniture, pottery & Paintings.) The Klamoya Casino is down the road 5 miles from us, with 24-7 excellent meals and also gas station and small shopping. The small town of Chiloquin is down 422 4 miles for shopping and grocery stores.

Guest access
There is a roadway all around the campgrounds, teepee is off to the right side by themselves , and driveway up to it. You will need to walk a little ways over to the propane shower and porta potties, but easily accessible. There are great hiking trails, and we were blessed with many of our trees surviving the fires last fall. See if you can see our special little bird, a cousin to the red-headed woodpecker, only this guy has a black and white stripped head- his job is to follow forest fires, and help the trees heal and reseed themselves. He pecks open the pinecones so they can regerminate, and carries bacteria to the trees helping them recover from burns. Many bald eagles, red tailed hawks, hummingbirds, wild canaries, herons, etc. Wildlife is deer and elk.

Other things to note
Clear open skies for great celestial viewing of eclipse coming up in August. Because we are away from the city, we have no lights that detract from seeing the stars, the moon and all other celestial bodies ( or UFO'S ?...lol) Our neighbor has cows and sheep, with the occassional coyote howling and barking (yes coyotes bark-to lure animals and people out into the wilds, sorry, we have no control of them.) GREAT star gazing!

Neighbourhood highlights

Lovely rural community, across the street from a mountain range and 1 other ranch house, also a bird sanctuary and wild life (deer, eagles, hawks, hummingbirds) are commonly seen here. The Highway 62 goes by campsite, so may hear that from time to time, but generally very quiet. All generators off by 9pm.

My work: Ranchers & Artists
I'm obsessed with: Horses, the Earth & Artwork we produce
We are a mother and daughter Native American team who LOVE horses, our ranch and our dogs. We communicate well, and love meeting new friends. We welcome questions so that you will be comfortable in our campgrounds. Please only go over to our horses when we are with you. They are very special to us and we are protective of them. We are very earth-user friendly and expect our guests to respect the land and help us keep it clean and pristine.
