About this listing
This single-family house in Jefferson Heights has recently been renovated as a peaceful, relaxing, comfortable vacation home for our guests. Located just 3 blocks from Main Street, you'll be within walking distance of some of Chattanooga's best restaurants, bars, galleries, and other attractions on the Southside. From here you can walk or bike to the Choo Choo, and catch the free electric shuttle that will take you all over downtown and the Northshore.
Back story: Rick and Christie met about 20 years ago at a hammered dulcimer festival and became friends. 10 years later, they bought houses across from one another on the same street, and both moved to Chattanooga as part of the ArtsMove artist relocation program. Rick recently moved away to start a new adventure, and sold the house to Christie, your host. Christie still lives across the street, and is always happy to introduce new guests to Jefferson Heights (the immediate neighborhood), the Southside, and our beloved Chattanooga in general.
Guests will have access to the whole house, including the washer/dryer, all kitchen amenities, the living area, the front and back porches, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. There's one parking space in the back, and plenty of free parking space on the street in front.
Interaction with guests
As your host, I intend to greet you upon arrival, give you the key, and then give you privacy for the rest of your stay. I live just across the street and will be available if any questions or problems come up. The neighbors around here are super friendly too, and will help out if needed.
- You can smoke on the porch (ashtray provided)
- Please respect our neighbors and keep noise down after 11pm
- If anything breaks or gets messed up, just let us know about it so we can be prepared to fix, clean, or replace it.

I'm a musician and music teacher, people connector, and animal lover. I made Chattanooga my home about 10 years ago, impressed with its natural beauty, affordability, bikeability, support for the arts, and overall community involvement. Currently on my "I wanna go there" list: Morocco, Alaska, Portugal, Chile, Borneo.
